The Role
This is a chance to be a genuine change-maker in US higher education — and one of the most compelling sales opportunities in the market right now.
Kinetic is the global market leader in enterprise software for student housing, residence life, conferencing, events, and campus operations. We've been doing this since 1998. More than 350 institutions across the world run on our platform. We are trusted, proven, and battle-tested at scale.
And yet, in the United States, most residence life and housing teams have never heard of us.
That's the opportunity.
There are only two vendors in the world capable of handling the deep, complex operational demands of large-scale student housing at the enterprise level. We are one of them. Until recently, US institutions haven't had a genuine choice. Many are running on legacy systems they've outgrown — systems that frustrate their teams and limit what they can deliver for students. Now there's a credible alternative, with a 27-year track record of transforming operations at institutions just like theirs.
This role is about closing. It takes a seasoned new logo hunter — someone who knows how to build conviction in an uninformed audience, navigate complex institutional sales cycles, and drive decisions in an environment where inertia is the enemy. You won't just be opening doors; you'll be walking through them, winning over stakeholders at every level, and bringing home contracts that mark the beginning of decades-long partnerships.
Once you close, you hand over to a dedicated customer delivery and success team who take ownership of the relationship — so you can stay focused on hunting. But make no mistake: the partnerships you create are permanent. Kinetic is part of Volaris Group and Constellation Software, a buy-and-hold acquirer — we will never be sold. The institutions that choose us are choosing a partner that will be there for the long haul, investing in their success year after year. What you win, we keep — and we build on — forever.
If you're a top-tier new logo closer who wants to do meaningful work — not just hit a number — this role was built for you.
Who We Are
Kinetic is part of Volaris Group, a division of Constellation Software Inc. — one of the largest software companies in the world. Constellation is a buy-and-hold acquirer. We are never sold. We grow, we invest, and we build for the long term alongside other global market leaders in education technology and beyond.
That backing matters. It means the resources, the stability, and the ambition to win in the US market — for good.
What You'll Be Doing
• Own and drive new logo acquisition across the US higher education market, with a focus on housing, residence life, conferencing, events, and campus operations teams
• Build pipeline from scratch through targeted outreach, relationship development, industry networking, and creative prospecting across multiple channels
• Run discovery calls and product demonstrations — remote and on-site - that connect Kinetic's capabilities to each institution's specific operational challenges
• Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving procurement, IT, housing leadership, and executive sponsors
• Lead RFP responses in a disciplined, organized way that keeps your pipeline moving
• Represent Kinetic at trade shows and conferences — generating leads, building brand presence, and learning the market
• Negotiate contracts and close agreements that create long-term value for both sides
• Keep your CRM immaculate and your follow-up relentless
• Stay close to industry trends in higher education and residence life — and use that knowledge to open more doors
What You’ll Bring
Sales Track Record
• Proven success in SaaS new logo sales — you hit your number and you have the receipts
• Experience selling into higher education, residence life, student services, or comparable institutional markets
• A track record of displacing incumbent systems — you know how to build the case for change
• Strong ability to prospect independently across outbound channels
How You Work
• You are a hunter by nature — you create momentum where none exists
• You are curious, commercially sharp, and skilled at uncovering pain in complex organizations
• You communicate clearly and persuasively — in calls, in demos, and in writing
• You are organized, disciplined, and relentless in your follow-through
• You are resilient — you don't need the market to come to you
Why Kinetic
We are a high-performance business — and we mean that in the truest sense. Not pressure for its own sake, but a thriving environment where everyone is pushing forward together, challenging each other, and delivering for colleagues and customers alike. We span multiple countries. We don't do silos.
We operate on a simple belief: high challenge and high support go hand in hand. We will push you outside your comfort zone — regularly. We expect you to make mistakes. We want you to. Because in this business, mistakes mean you're moving, learning, and growing — and when our people grow, the business grows. We believe in accountability, not blame. There are no losers on a winning team, and no winners on a losing team.
Sales is the lifeblood of what we do. When we're winning new customers, everyone feels it — the energy, the momentum, the sense that something real is being built. This role is at the spearhead of that. Kinetic has been in the US market since 2006, and since bringing our student housing software stateside two years ago, the business has been in hyper growth — and the person in this seat is central to keeping that momentum going.
We have a people-first mindset — with our team and with our customers. We all have two ears and one mouth, and we try to use them in that proportion. We don't tell customers how to do their jobs. We ask, we listen, and we work to understand what's holding them back — and then we help remove their barriers. That's the culture we bring to every relationship, internal and external.
We also believe in having fun. Genuinely. A thriving business is an enjoyable one, and we work hard to make sure this is a place people love to be.
Our values are leadership, community, student success, and the KxFactor. The KxFactor is the hardest of those to define — and perhaps the most important. It's that quality you notice when you spend time with someone from Kinetic. An authenticity. An energy. A way of showing up that makes people want to work alongside you and stay in your orbit. You can't manufacture it. You'll know if you have it — and so will we.
