Job description

Company Description VERSANT (Nasdaq: VSNT) is an industry-changing media and entertainment business and home to trusted brands that shape culture, inform audiences, and build lasting connections. It operates across four core markets: political news and opinion, business news and personal finance, golf, and sports and genre entertainment. These markets are served through a powerful portfolio of iconic and innovative brands, including CNBC, MS NOW, USA Network, Golf Channel, Oxygen, E!, SYFY, and Versant's sports division USA Sports, along with complementary digital assets including Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow and GolfPass. Job Description The Opportunity: GolfNow is seeking a Principal Product Manager to help shape the future of our B2B golf technology portfolio. You’ll work across multiple products that help golf course operators manage their businesses, improve customer experiences, and drive growth. In this role, you’ll combine deep customer understanding, strategic thinking, technical fluency, and strong execution to translate business priorities into meaningful product improvements and innovations. You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Design, and business leaders to navigate complex decisions and drive initiatives from discovery through measurable results. You’ll bring an AI-native approach to Product Management, using AI and modern tools to accelerate learning, strengthen decision-making, and improve execution. Why This Role Matters: Your work will influence how GolfNow’s B2B products evolve, helping golf course operators succeed while driving adoption, retention, and revenue growth. Success means developing deep product expertise, making informed recommendations, and taking ownership of customer and business outcomes—not simply delivering features. What You’ll Do: • Own Product Outcomes: Develop deep expertise across GolfNow’s B2B products, customers, and business. Take end-to-end accountability for initiatives and measurable customer and business results. • Drive Product Strategy and Prioritization: Translate business objectives and customer insights into product priorities and roadmaps. Partner with Product leadership to shape direction, evaluate opportunities, and make informed tradeoffs. • Improve Customer Experience and Business Performance: Lead initiatives that simplify customer workflows, expand product capabilities, and drive adoption, retention, and revenue growth. • Accelerate Innovation: Identify emerging customer needs, evaluate new technologies and approaches, and lead the development of innovative product capabilities. • Lead Through Influence: Build strong partnerships across Engineering, Design, Data, Operations, Sales, and business teams. Communicate decisions and tradeoffs clearly while creating alignment across functions. • Deliver and Measure Results: Drive complex initiatives from discovery through launch and beyond. Define success measures, evaluate performance using qualitative and quantitative insights, and continuously improve products based on results. Qualifications What You Bring: • Significant Product Management experience, preferably 8+ years, with demonstrated success delivering measurable customer and business outcomes across complex products or initiatives. • Experience with B2B software or technology products, including customer workflows, commercial considerations, and product adoption. • Strong product judgment and strategic thinking, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, evaluate tradeoffs, and translate business objectives into actionable product priorities. • Strong analytical skills and experience using customer research, product metrics, and experimentation to inform decisions. • Technical fluency across APIs, integrations, system architecture, data flows, and engineering tradeoffs. • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional initiatives, and communicate complex concepts clearly. • An AI-native approach to Product Management, using AI, automation, and modern tools to improve problem-solving, decision-making, productivity, and outcomes. How We Do It: At Versant, how we work is as important as what we deliver. Successful candidates demonstrate: • Trust: Build credibility through integrity, preparation, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through. • Teamwork: Collaborate across functions, value diverse perspectives, and create shared ownership of outcomes. • Transparency: Communicate openly about priorities, decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and results. • Agility: Adapt to changing customer needs, business conditions, and new evidence while maintaining focus on outcomes. • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Proactively identify opportunities, challenge conventional thinking, and turn ideas into meaningful customer and business value. We value demonstrated product leadership, accountability, and measurable impact alongside relevant professional experience. Bonus Points: • Experience developing products for golf course operators, hospitality businesses, or other operationally complex B2B environments. • Familiarity with SaaS business models, subscription products, or integrated technology platforms. • Knowledge of the golf industry, golf course operations, or related technology ecosystems. Why You’ll Love It Here: At GolfNow, you’ll help shape technology that supports the golf industry while working across a diverse portfolio of B2B products. You’ll collaborate with experienced business and technology leaders, tackle meaningful customer challenges, and have the opportunity to influence product direction and see the impact of your work. Work Environment This position is remote, with the expectation of occasional in-person collaboration for team meetings, strategic planning sessions, and other business needs.
