Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect to drive the design, development, governance, and delivery of enterprise-scale Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, Data Warehousing, Microsoft Fabric/Azure Data Platform , and stakeholder management. This role will lead a team of BI developers, collaborate with business stakeholders, and deliver impactful data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership • Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise Power BI solutions. • Define BI architecture, data modeling standards, and best practices. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Power BI developers and data engineers. • Review code, dashboards, reports, and deployment processes to ensure quality standards. Power BI Development • Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and scorecards using Power BI. • Design and optimize complex DAX calculations, measures, KPIs, and business metrics. • Build and maintain semantic models and tabular data models. • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and governance controls. Data Engineering & Integration • Develop ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, SSIS, or similar tools. • Work closely with data engineering teams to integrate data from ERP, CRM, SAP, Oracle, and cloud systems. • Design scalable data warehouse and data mart solutions. • Optimize report performance through query tuning and model optimization. Stakeholder Management • Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and analytics teams. • Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership. Governance & Administration • Manage Power BI workspaces, capacities, deployments, and security. • Establish BI standards, data governance, and release management processes. • Monitor and optimize Power BI service performance and capacity utilization. • Support audit, compliance, and data privacy requirements. Required Skills Technical Skills • 8+ years of experience in BI, Analytics, and Data Warehousing. • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI. • Strong expertise in: • Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service • DAX, Power Query (M Language) • Data Modeling (Star/Snowflake Schema) • SQL Server, T-SQL • Azure Data Factory (ADF) • Azure Synapse Analytics / Microsoft Fabric • ETL/ELT Development • Experience with Power BI Administration and Capacity Management. • Knowledge of CI/CD deployment using Azure DevOps or Git. Preferred Skills • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehousing, Real-Time Analytics). • Exposure to Azure Databricks and Spark. • Experience in implementing Data Governance and Purview. • Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics. • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
