You’ll play a key leadership role in shaping backend architecture, data infrastructure, and engineering best practices as we grow. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Infrastructure, and Data teams to deliver performant, reliable systems that process billions in transactions and empower thousands of merchants. This is a high-impact role suited for engineers who thrive on ownership, enjoy tackling complex systems challenges, and value elegant, maintainable solutions. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 7+ years of professional backend software engineering experience. - Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems in production. - Strong proficiency with Node.js node.js and Typescript (or comparable backend languages such as Go, Java, or Python). - Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), Docker, and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures. - Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
