The position is responsible for troubleshooting performance, connectivity, and security issues, optimizing cloud operations, supporting hybrid cloud integrations, and ensuring compliance with AWS security frameworks and GovCloud/DoD requirements. The role requires regular collaboration with teammates, leadership, and customers—often including presentations—and may involve limited TDY travel in support of mission objectives.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure performance, connectivity, and security issues impacting operations
• Conduct limited TDY travel as mission requires
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• Education Equivalency:

• Associate’s degree with 11 years of IT experience
• Master’s Degree with 7 years of IT experience
• PhD with 5 years of IT experience
• Minimum 9 years of general Information Technology experience
• Minimum 4 years of AWS infrastructure engineering experience
• Minimum 4 years of experience with AWS networking services including VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Route 53
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code implementation
• Minimum 2 years of experience with AWS compute services (EC2, ECS/Fargate, Lambda)
• Minimum 1 year of experience with orchestration systems outside AWS (Kubernetes, Nomad, Docker Swarm, or similar)
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience implementing AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, Advanced Networking, Security Specialty)
• Experience with AWS GovCloud or DoD cloud environments
• Advanced Kubernetes experience (CKA/CKAD certification)
• Experience with hybrid cloud architectures connecting on-premises and cloud environments
