Job description
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Valerie Health is the AI front office for independent provider groups. We are reimagining how independent practices operate by using AI to modernize patient/provider communication, enhance care, and drive industry-changing operational efficiencies.
Why join us now?
- Team: We are led by Pete Shalek linkedin.com (2x health tech exits, including a $600M acquisition by Optum) and Nitin Joshi linkedin.com (scaled Uber Eats + Health, Stripe Connect, and Bridge–acquired by Stripe for $1.1B). Beyond our Founders, our team brings decades of experience from Stripe, Uber, and Meta, combining deep expertise in ML systems, large-scale infrastructure, and product design.
- Trajectory: We partner with leading independent provider groups across the U.S., automating hundreds of thousands of tasks each month. Scaling at 7x year-over-year with 300% NRR as customers consistently expand usage.
- Funding: We have raised $39m from world-class investors including Redpoint Ventures, General Catalyst, Primary Ventures, and BoxGroup.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Account Executive at Valerie Health, you'll be at the forefront of our growth, bringing transformative AI-powered solutions to independent practices across the country. You'll own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to demo, negotiation, and close—while working closely with our Customer Strategy team to ensure seamless handoffs and long-term customer satisfaction and growth.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in healthcare technology sales, understands the operational challenges facing independent practices, and thrives in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments. You'll be joining at an inflection point where your impact will directly shape our go-to-market strategy and revenue trajectory.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Drive New Business: Own and exceed quarterly revenue targets by building pipeline, running discovery calls, conducting product demonstrations, and closing deals with independent practices.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with our Customers and Operations team to ensure smooth onboarding, with Product to communicate customer feedback, and with Marketing to refine messaging and positioning.
- Refine the Playbook: Contribute to the development of our sales methodology, ideal customer profiles, and go-to-market strategies as we scale from early-stage startup to market leader.
- Build Strategic Relationships: Cultivate ongoing relationships with key stakeholders in target practices, including practice managers, medical directors, and C-suite executives, to navigate complex buying processes and upsells.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience:
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience at a high-growth company, bonus for experience selling in healthcare
- Proven history of closing six- to seven-figure deals ($100k-$1M+ ACV)
- Proven track record of exceeding quota in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Experience selling to healthcare providers, practice administrators, or PE backed provider groups stakeholders strongly preferred
- Attributes:
- Hunter Mentality: You're energized by building pipeline, identifying new opportunities, and opening doors with prospective customers through creative outreach.
- Healthcare Passion: You are motivated by the opportunity to help providers deliver better care and run better businesses.
- Consultative Approach: You lead with curiosity and empathy, asking thoughtful questions to uncover pain points and positioning solutions based on customer needs rather than product features.
- Resilience & Grit: You embrace rejection as part of the process, learn quickly from setbacks, and maintain high energy and optimism through the inevitable ups and downs of sales.
- Clear Communicator: You articulate complex technical concepts in simple, compelling terms and tailor your message to resonate with different audiences, whether front-desk staff, physician owners, or professional management.
- Team Player: You collaborate generously with colleagues, share insights openly, and celebrate wins together while holding yourself accountable to high standards.
- Growth Mindset: You actively seek coaching and feedback, experiment with new approaches, and continuously refine your craft to improve performance.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive base salary + uncapped commission with accelerators
- Meaningful equity in a fast-growing, venture-backed startup
- Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and PTO
- SF-based candidates will work in-person Monday–Thursday. Remote-friendly for candidates outside SF.
- SF office: Daily catered lunch and dinner reimbursement
