Job description

Lead DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure Scale & Enablement) Stack: AWS (ECS, Cloud-First), Terraform, GitHub, MongoDB, Snowflake, GCP If you are unable to complete this application due to a disability, contact this employer to ask for accommodation or an alternative application process. The Mission We are seeking a visionary Lead DevOps Engineer to transform our infrastructure from a centralized resource into a scalable, self-service platform. As a company with a "cloud-first" architecture, we have reached a stage where infrastructure must move at the speed of the business. Your primary mission is to organize our existing AWS/GCP footprint and architect a secure, scalable foundation that enables both engineering and non-engineering departments to build and deploy applications safely. You aren't just managing servers; you are building the "internal cloud" that will power our next phase of growth. The Role As the Lead DevOps Engineer, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of our infrastructure. You will be the primary architect for our Terraform-led environment, ensuring that our ECS clusters, data warehouses (Snowflake), and multi-cloud integrations (AWS/GCP) are robust, secure, and highly available. Key Responsibilities: • Infrastructure Orchestration: Standardize and organize our existing infrastructure using Terraform . You will move us toward a state where infrastructure is fully versioned, modular, and reproducible. • Scalable Access & Authorization: Architect and implement sophisticated authorization and access control models for compute resources. You will ensure that as we scale, the right people have the right access without creating bottlenecks. • Democratizing Development: Design and build the tooling necessary to enable non-engineering departments to build and manage applications within secure, governed environments. • Multi-Cloud Integration: Manage our enterprise AWS footprint (ECS, Lambdas) while seamlessly integrating Google Cloud features for OAuth, IAM, and user management. • Operational Excellence: Partner with the engineering leadership to integrate CI/CD best practices into the SDLC, ensuring a "fail fast" environment that remains stable for enterprise usage. Who You Are • An Enablement Mindset: You believe that DevOps is about removing friction. You don't just "fix things"; you build systems that prevent things from breaking and empower others to move faster. • A Security-First Architect: You have deep experience in IAM, OAuth, and resource-level authorization. You know how to secure a complex, multi-cloud environment without stifling innovation. • Master of IaC: You treat infrastructure as code in your sleep. You have a proven track record of refactoring "spaghetti" infrastructure into clean, modular Terraform. • Collaborative Leader: You can speak the language of a developer, a data scientist (Snowflake), and a business stakeholder. You enjoy the challenge of scaling a platform to meet diverse departmental needs. Our Tech Stack Category Technology Cloud Platforms AWS (Primary - ECS), Google Cloud (Identity/OAuth) Infrastructure as Code Terraform Data & Analytics MongoDB, Snowflake CI/CD & Source GitHub, GitHub Actions Compensation We offer a competitive compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $190,000. The final salary will be determined based on factors such as skills, knowledge, and demonstrated expertise. Please note that the stated salary range is flexible and negotiable based on individual qualifications and fit for the role. We encourage candidates to discuss their salary expectations during the interview process. Flexibility The Lead DevOps Engineer may benefit from the flexibility to work in a way that suits them best. We offer the following working options: • Office-Based: Our modern and well-equipped office space provides a collaborative environment where you can work closely with your team, engage in face-to-face interactions, and foster a sense of community. • Hybrid: For those who prefer a balance between office and remote work, we offer a hybrid model. This allows you to divide your time between working in the office and remotely, providing the best of both worlds.
