Director of Business Development - Americas at Precisely

Job description

At Precisely, we're not just building software — we're shaping the future of data integrity. As a global leader in data quality, data enrichment, and location intelligence, Precisely helps thousands of the world's most trusted brands make confident decisions with data they can rely on. We're an AI-first organization, which means artificial intelligence isn't a buzzword here — it's woven into how we build products, how we work, and how we think about solving complex problems for our customers. When you join Precisely, you join a team of curious, driven innovators who believe that better data makes the world run better. If you're ready to do meaningful work at the intersection of AI and data — and help define what's possible — we'd love for you to apply! Here's what we're building: Precisely's Business Development Organization is in the middle of a deliberate transformation to become a best in class BDO. We have roughly 25 BDRs globally, inbound infrastructure that works, and a pipeline target that demands more than inbound alone can deliver. The mandate is clear: build the outbound engine alongside what exists, develop the people running it, and close the gap between where the team is and where it needs to be. This isn't a maintenance role. It's a build and develop role inside an organization moving with intention and speed. What this role actually does: Run the accountability loop. Set the standard, inspect the work, coach the gaps, hold the line. Not as a philosophy. As a daily practice. Your managers need to run this loop themselves — teaching them to do that is as much the job as running it yourself Develop and optimize the outbound motion alongside a functioning inbound engine. Build the systems, plays, sequences, and habits that make cold outreach work at team scale, not just for the top performer Own sales qualified opportunities and closed won bookings for all of North America. Not activity metrics dressed up as outcomes Build AI powered workflows that make reps more effective. Deploy agents that support prospecting, research, personalization, and sequencing. If AI in sales development is new to you, this isn't the right seat Recruit and develop people who go places. BDR organizations that produce AEs, managers, and leaders are healthy ones. Build the ramp model, build the coaching model, build the career path Operate across Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and Enablement with a director's point of view. Diagnosis, not just reporting. Recommendations with data behind them What we're looking for: 8 to 12 years in BDR, SDR, or GTM roles in SaaS or enterprise technology 3 to 5+ years leading teams that included managers, not just reps Proven track record building outbound inside an inbound heavy team and knowing what it costs to get that right You write the playbook, test it, refine it, and hand it to your managers to run You coach directly and honestly. You know the difference between a rep who won't and a rep who can't, and you handle both differently You run pipeline reviews that surface truth and build dashboards that answer real questions Real, hands on experience building, testing, and deploying AI tools, agents, or workflow automation in a sales development context. Not observing it from a distance Why Precisely: The data and AI market is one of the fastest growing categories in enterprise software, and Precisely sits at the center of it. We help the world's largest companies trust their data — and the demand for that is accelerating, not slowing down. This role exists because the business is ready to invest in what comes next. The programs are being built. The tools are in place. The leadership team is aligned. You won't spend your first six months convincing anyone that outbound matters or that AI belongs in the BDR motion. That work is done. What you'll find here is a team ready to be led, a VP who builds alongside you, and a market that gives your reps real things to say to real buyers with real problems. If you want to build something that lasts inside a company that's moving, this is the seat. What you'll own at 12 months: North America BDR team hitting sales qualified opportunity and closed won bookings targets An outbound motion that is documented, coached to, and producing results that didn't exist before you arrived Managers who can run the accountability loop without you in the room At least one AI powered workflow live and adopted across the team A clear, defensible point of view on what this team looks like in 2027 #LI-DR1 Application and Interview Impersonation Notice : Impersonating another individual when applying for employment, and/or participating in an interview process to assist another individual in obtaining employment, with Precisely Software Incorporated (“Precisely”) is unlawful. If Precisely identifies such fraudulent conduct, then as applicable and to the extent permitted by law, the application will be rejected, an offer (if made) will be rescinded, or the employment will be terminated, and legal action may be taken against the impersonators. The personal data that you provide as a part of this job application will be handled in accordance with relevant laws.
