Job description

About Justrite Safety Group At Justrite Safety Group , we're more than just a collection of industrial safety companies; we're a dynamic organization dedicated to protecting people, property, and the planet. Our ever-growing portfolio of companies collaborates to deliver advanced industrial safety solutions that set the standard for excellence. As our business continues to grow, we continue to look for top talent to join our team as we lead the charge in revolutionizing industrial safety, ensuring that every worker returns home safe, every workplace remains secure, and our environment thrives for generations to come. With Justrite Safety Group, safety isn't just a priority—it's our passion. The Contribution You’ll bring to this Role: AccuformNMC is investing in a new generation of workplace-safety products and building a small, focused team to turn customer problems into commercially successful products. We are looking for a New Product Development Manager who is energized by ownership, speed, problem-solving and the challenge of making something real. This is not a traditional product-management role. You will work directly with the General Manager and a small cross-functional development team to move new products from customer need and validation through development, prototype, testing, commercialization and launch. You will have significant autonomy to make detailed decisions, manage outside development partners, continuously improve the development approach and keep projects moving - while remaining accountable for the commercial outcome. This is an opportunity to help build a significant new growth platform inside an established company with customers, manufacturing capabilities, commercial infrastructure and the backing of a much larger organization. About the Team: Our Product Development team is at the forefront of turning customer needs and market opportunity into products that are ready to build, sell, and support. We own the path from concept through launch, working closely with engineering, operations, sales, and customers to define requirements, make clear tradeoffs, and deliver solutions that perform in the real world. With a focus on practical innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and disciplined execution, the team improves how products are designed, developed, and brought to market. Always forward-looking, Product Development plays a critical role in shaping our product strategy and positioning us for long-term success in a competitive marketplace. What You’ll Do at Justrite: Lead New Product Development • Own the day-to-day execution of multiple new product development initiatives from customer need through commercial launch. • Build and maintain clear project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions and critical paths. • Create urgency around the work and aggressively remove obstacles that threaten progress. • Coordinate internal functions and external partners to keep development moving. • Lead projects through AccuformNMC's development and toll-gate process while balancing speed, rigor and commercial practicality. • Make changes to product details, requirements, sequencing and development approach as needed to achieve the agreed strategic outcome. Own Voice of Customer • Personally engage customers, end users and relevant stakeholders to understand problems, workflows, unmet needs and buying behavior. • Build VOC plans and translate customer learning into practical product requirements. • Use prototypes, pilots, customer testing and market feedback to validate assumptions and drive iterations. • Know the difference between useful customer evidence and opinions that should not drive product decisions. Manage External Development Partners • Identify, evaluate, select and manage external engineering, product-development, prototype, testing and technical partners. • Define deliverables, timelines, economics and success criteria. • Hold partners accountable for commitments and intervene quickly when projects are off track. • Build productive relationships with high-value development resources while continuously evaluating whether the current partner is right for the next stage. • Operate within approved project budgets and established spending authorities, escalating larger commitments appropriately. Own Product Business Cases • Build and maintain financial models and business cases for new products. • Understand the relationship between customer need, price, cost, volume, margin and commercial adoption. • Update assumptions as VOC, technical development and market evidence evolve. • Provide clear recommendations to senior leadership and obtain approval for material changes to approved business cases. Drive Commercialization and Launch • Work closely with Commercialization, Product, Operations, Sales, Marketing and IT to prepare products for launch. • Ensure product requirements, customer needs, economics, documentation, operational readiness and launch plans are aligned. • Partner with the Commercialization team through launch and early market performance. • Once a product is successfully launched and stabilized, transition ongoing product ownership to the appropriate Product Manager and move on to the next development opportunity. Build the NPD Operating Rhythm • Establish a practical operating cadence that creates visibility without unnecessary bureaucracy. • Maintain clear project status, next actions, risks, decisions and accountability. • Prepare projects for toll-gate and steering reviews. • Surface bad news early, bring options with problems, and keep senior leadership focused on the decisions that require their involvement. Your Skills and Expertise: To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum: • 5-7+ years of highly relevant experience, but demonstrated accomplishment matters more than years on a resume. • You have personally helped take multiple physical products from customer need or concept through development and commercial launch. • New product development, product commercialization or physical product management experience. • Customer discovery and Voice of Customer experience. • Cross-functional program leadership and detailed execution ownership. • Experience managing external engineering, prototype or development partners. • Experience building product financial models or business cases. • Ability to work credibly with engineers and technical partners. • Demonstrated ability to move quickly with incomplete information. • Experience in an entrepreneurial, resource-constrained, consulting, startup, smaller-company or highly autonomous environment. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: • Masters Degree.. • Soft skills Compensation: The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $105,000-$130,000. Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets. Location and Travel: This role may be based in Brooksville, Florida or remotely for an exceptional candidate. Because this is a hands-on product-development role, significant and recurring onsite presence in Brooksville will be required, particularly during prototype development, testing, plant integration and launch activities. Travel to customers, development partners, suppliers and manufacturing resources is expected. This is not a work-from-anywhere role. Benefits: Our benefits package at Justrite Safety Group is designed to be the best in the industry, offering everything you need to support your career and personal well-being. You’ll receive a competitive salary paired with an extensive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. We provide flexible hours and alternative work arrangements designed to support a healthy work-life balance. These options vary depending on the specific roles and business needs. Your financial future is secure with our 401K plan, complete with a company match, and you’re protected with company-paid short and long-term disability insurance. To ensure you’re at your best, we also offer generous paid time off, personal days, and a robust employee wellness program that supports your overall health and happiness. At Justrite, our benefits package is designed to help you thrive both in and out of the workplace. Why AccuformNMC: This is an opportunity to combine the speed and ownership of a startup with the stability and resources of an established company. You will have the opportunity to build rather than simply maintain. You will work directly with senior leadership, influence products from the beginning and see your work move from customer problem to prototype to commercial launch. AccuformNMC is part of Justrite Safety Group, giving you access to the capabilities and opportunities of a much larger organization while allowing you to work within a small, entrepreneurial team. Successful performance in this role can create opportunities for broader product leadership within AccuformNMC or elsewhere across JSG as business needs and opportunities develop. Why Choose Justrite Safety Group? As a leading name in the safety industry, Justrite provides a platform where you can collaborate with some of the best professionals in the field, learning from experts and contributing to cutting-edge solutions. The company's commitment to excellence and innovation ensures that you’ll be part of a team that is making a real impact. With a strong focus on career advancement, Justrite empowers its employees to thrive both personally and professionally, making it an ideal workplace for those looking to grow their careers in a meaningful and rewarding environment. Join us and be part of a team dedicated to product excellence and making a positive impact in our company, and in our community!
