Terraform and AWS networking are your home ground? Build infrastructure that has no off-the-shelf answer yet.
A ~30-person AI startup in New York, Series A and backed by leading investors, builds AI agents for the teams that run some of the world's largest enterprise software systems. These systems are critical, old and hard to work with, and today's AI coding tools can't reach them. Customers already use the platform to make those teams several times more productive. The founders combine frontier AI engineering with deep domain expertise.
They're hiring 3 infrastructure engineers .
What you'll own
• Core platform infrastructure as code, mostly AWS with Terraform: reliable, scalable and secure
• The building blocks underneath the agents: large-scale code search, auth, sandboxes, tool use and orchestration
• Automated deployments across many customer AWS accounts, with RBAC, SSO, audit and data residency, in the cloud and on-premise
• Connectivity into customer environments (VPNs, firewall rules, routing), working with their IT teams
• For one seat: SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance
• Large pieces of the platform within your first two months, and making them better, not just maintaining them
Must-haves
• You've written and run Terraform in production yourself
• Deep AWS knowledge, networking included (VPCs, VPNs, IAM, routing)
• Evidence of exceptional ability, such as top grades or programming-contest results (Codeforces and the like)
• At least 3 years of engineering experience
• You solve new, unfamiliar problems from first principles, without needing fully defined tickets
• Working from the New York office every weekday, 9-9-5
Bonus points
• Deployments across many AWS accounts, or on-premise installs at large enterprises
• CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions); Python, Go, JavaScript or React
• Background in security or compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001
• Strong opinions on AI-native development, and your own tooled workflow
What's in it for you
• $200k–$400k base + 0.1–0.5% equity
• Greenfield infrastructure at a well-funded company with real enterprise customers
• Full health, dental and vision coverage
Good to know
• Full-time, on-site in New York, 9-9-5
• Visa transfers are welcome; new visa sponsorship is considered per candidate, so please share your exact status
• Process: first conversation with a co-founder → two technical interviews with the founding engineers → a paid trial of 1–3 days → references → offer
When you apply, please include
• Your CV (PDF), your LinkedIn URL , and GitHub if you have one
• AWS infrastructure you built and ran with Terraform, and how big it was
• Where you studied, your degree, and any contest results
• Your current location, and confirmation that working from the New York office every weekday works for you
• Your visa or citizenship status, and if you'll need sponsorship
• Your base salary expectation, your notice period, and any other interview processes you're in
