Job description

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next. At Netflix, our approach to compensation is intentionally unique, designed to attract and retain the most talented individuals around the globe. In order to accomplish this, we pay employees at what we call their “personal top of market” for their roles. We use a combination of competitive market data, industry insights, and a deep understanding of a person’s potential to come up with an amount for each individual. In order to deliver on this vision, we need compensation leaders who can operate beyond conventional structures—leveraging data, creativity, and business partnership to define and deliver exceptional outcomes. To that end, we’re seeking a Senior Manager, Compensation to support our Product and Technology (P&T) business. This is a highly visible role, reporting to the Director of Compensation, and will be instrumental in shaping compensation strategy and leading strategic initiatives for this critical area of Netflix. In this role, you will: • Partner directly with senior leaders across P&T and related business units, collaborating with regional compensation leads and HR teams to develop a global perspective on compensation for these functions. • Lead strategic compensation initiatives that support the growth and evolution of the P&T business, including engineering, data and insights, product, and experience design. • Provide analytics and insights to guide compensation decisions, ensuring we remain competitive and aligned with industry trends, particularly in the ever changing technology landscape. • Champion the development and growth of compensation expertise within the team, providing thought leadership and mentorship. • Develop and execute analyses to identify market movement, assess data gaps, and offer recommendations to close candidates while maintaining our personal top of market philosophy. • Collaborate with Talent (HR) Operations and various Technology teams to build and refine metrics and dashboards for business leaders and managers. • Participate in compensation surveys and leverage findings to inform Market Reference Ranges in partnership with both HR and business leadership. • Develop tools and processes that address the unique needs of the P&T business from a compensation perspective. • Educate and advise HR partners and business leaders on compensation strategy, programs, and best practices. • Support the design and execution of global compensation programs (e.g., pay equity, compensation reviews, job architecture, workforce planning), while leading ongoing and new strategic initiatives for the Content organization. What we are looking for: • 10+ years of relevant compensation experience, ideally supporting the Technology side of the business in a fast-paced, global environment. • Demonstrated ability to provide direction and counsel to HRBPs and senior business leaders. • Strong analytical skills, with experience working with large data sets and advanced modeling in Google Sheets or Excel. • Strategic mindset with a passion for compensation and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. • Experience navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving business needs. • Familiarity with all aspects of compensation design. • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $310,000.00 - $480,000.00. Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off. See more details about our Benefits here . Netflix is a unique culture and environment. Learn more here .
