Job description

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. As a Technical Program Manager for Central Compute Planning, you will coordinate across Engineering teams to solve complex problems in compute resource management. You will partner with supply chain, data center infrastructure, and software engineering to design the future of global resource management. Your charter includes identifying efficiency opportunities, balancing resource distribution against infrastructure and budgetary constraints, and implementing tools and policies to optimize the engineering stack. You will redefine on-demand computing through centralized planning and resource pooling at an unprecedented scale. You bring experience in software development, analytics, or supply chain management and the ability to synthesize solutions for broad, interdependent problems. You thrive in fast-paced environments, thinking critically and iterating quickly through phased rollout strategies. You are a collaborative leader who solves hard problems simply while delivering premium service to internal customers.
