Job description

About Maven Maven Robotics designs, builds, and deploys intelligent robotics for logistics and manufacturing. Maven is building the first general-purpose robotics system for industrial work. Our mission is to activate autonomous labor at scale and build toward infinitely elastic industrial capacity. We’re a team of engineers, researchers, and operators who have spent our careers working on the hardest problems in AI, robotics, engineering, and autonomous systems. We work at the intersection of advanced research and real-world engineering, turning ideas into prototypes and deployed systems. At Maven, we build around the realities of industrial work. The robots are designed from first principles for complex physical environments and rigorous commercial standards. They master real tasks that deliver immediate impact, industrial-grade reliability, and intelligence that compounds at scale. We’re growing an ambitious team of people who think in systems, move quickly, and are builders at heart. About the Role As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer at Maven Robotics, you will design and test innovative robotic hardware ranging from overall robot architecture down to detailed design of robot subassemblies and mechanisms. What You’ll Do Brainstorm and develop innovative and practical concepts for general purpose robotic systems Work closely with our business development, modeling & simulation, software, integration & testing, and industrial design teams to define loading conditions, performance requirements and packaging Design assemblies and components in 3D CAD from conceptual architecture through detailed design and drawing release Work with vendors and manufacturers to produce your components Support assembly, integration, and testing of robotic hardware What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or similar field Expert user of 3D CAD software to design complex parts and assemblies Familiarity with structural design and analysis principles including FEA Experience with electromechanical integration, including motors, sensors, servo drives, speed reducers, electronics packaging, and wiring Self-starter attitude with strong ability to identify problems, prioritize them, then plan and execute working solutions Enthusiasm for working in a fast paced startup environment and eagerness to support the team on a variety of topics Nice to Have Experience designing high-performance robotic systems, including actuators and dexterous end-effectors Strong background designing and analyzing lightweight, high-stiffness structures Experience designing cast and molded components for high-volume manufacturing Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) and production scalability Equal Opportunity Maven Robotics is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
