Job description

ABOUT VERISOUL Verisoul catches fake accounts, AI bots, and fraud. We distinguish real humans from bots and bad actors for companies like P&G, Qualtrics, Clay, and VSCO. OUR TRAJECTORY (LAST 12 MONTHS): - 9x YoY Growth: 9x ARR growth to $5.8M, scaled from 35 to 150+ customers. - Product Dominance: 92% competitive win rate. - Strong Backing: Raised $8.8M Series A. THE ROLE The anti-fraud industry is full of boring brands. We’re not one of them. You'll be the second marketer at Verisoul, working directly with our Director of Marketing within a highly collaborative growth team. It’s an exciting time to join: we have a lot of momentum, and we’re still building much of the marketing engine. We're at a point where the systems, voice, and habits we set now will shape Verisoul’s go-to-market approach for years to come. Building them well now is better than fixing them later. We’re looking for a versatile marketer who’s comfortable operating across multiple disciplines to help the business grow. Over time, this role can grow and evolve to support your career goals and strengths. WHAT YOU’LL DO Broadly speaking, this role serves three objectives: - Brand-building - Demand generation - Building a scalable marketing infrastructure Here’s what that could look like: - Growth marketing/demand gen: Help fill pipeline by working closely with the growth team to identify target audiences, channels, and messaging. Build, launch, and measure campaigns using tools like HubSpot, LinkedIn, HeyReach, Smartlead, and Clay. - Content: Accelerate content creation (e.g., reports, articles, videos, etc.) and distribution across channels, especially social media (primarily LinkedIn and YouTube). Identify and collaborate with external partners to secure coverage in niche newsletters, podcasts, and articles. - Experiment: Identify and experiment with new channels, formats, and messaging. Measure and iterate. - Sales enablement: Partner with the GTM team to build vertical-specific assets that help close deals. - Marketing ops: Improve our CRM setup & data hygiene, and help with top-of-funnel reporting. - Event marketing: Messaging, content, and promotion for the events we attend and host, both in-person and digital (e.g., webinars). WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH - Director of Marketing: You report to the Director of Marketing. - CEO and Chief Strategy Officer: You’ll partner closely with company revenue leadership. - GTM Directors: You’ll work closely with our GTM Vertical Leaders to understand customer needs, audiences, and market feedback. - Product & Engineering: You’ll collaborate with our technical team to build product understanding that informs content and campaigns. - Events Manager: You’ll help prep campaigns and content for digital and in-person events. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE - Experience: 5+ years in marketing, preferably including B2B/tech - Project management and collaboration: Keep multiple workstreams moving across marketing, sales, and product without dropping details. - Editorial judgment, with top-notch writing chops that can connect with multiple audiences. You produce compelling, well-structured content that offers audiences a delightful reprieve from today’s onslaught of B2B slop. - Strong portfolio demonstrating your approach to marketing – could be social media content, thought leadership, events, strategy, etc. - Balance of creative and analytical skills: Proactively pursue new ideas and identify better ways of working while keeping decisions grounded in data and systems-level thinking. - Accountability: Comfort owning projects end to end in a small team. Nice to have - Startup experience - Experience with fraud, security, identity, or other technical B2B products - Video production or editing skills COMPENSATION ($130-170K + EQUITY) - Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 - Bonus: $10,000 – $30,000 tied to demand generation and general performance - Equity: 0.05% – 0.10% with 4-year vesting LIFE AT VERISOUL In office 5 days a week in Austin, Texas! Daily doordash, office dog, and very good vibes. BENEFITS - Free Lunch - personalized your way, every day - $10K Relocation Bonus - 100% Insurance Coverage - 4% 401K Match - Flexible Vacation (avg. 20 days/year) - Up to 20 days Remote Annually - Beautiful Office (in a charming bungalow!) OUR VALUES (SOUL) - Start from Scratch We solve problems from the ground up. Fraud adapts daily, so we approach problems with a beginner’s mind: challenging assumptions, asking the questions no one else is asking, and rethinking the current way. We focus on finding the best answer and learning something new, even if it means changing our minds. - Own with Optimism We own high-impact problems end to end. We are self-starters and self-finishers: we move independently when we can and orchestrate when we should. We believe there is a solution that will work, even when conventional wisdom says otherwise. That belief gives us the energy to push through challenges and accomplish the impossible, while having fun doing it. - Unique, Real, Human We help companies know that their users are unique, real, and human, and we emulate that in how we build Verisoul. We are building a company that should feel as distinct as the problem we are solving. We win by being unusually creative, unusually fun and joyful to work with, and unmistakably ourselves. - Long-Term Trust We are in the business of building trust. Customers rely on Verisoul millions of times per day: with their users, their data, and decisions that affect their entire business. Trust compounds slowly and can be lost quickly, so we build it through clarity, accountability, and follow-through.
