Python Developer – 10+ Years Location: Phoenix, AZ Duration: 6+ Months Contract Experience: 10+ Years Job Type: Contract Work Arrangement: Onsite/Hybrid – Phoenix, AZ Job Description: We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with 10+ years of strong software development experience to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience developing scalable applications and backend services using Python, along with strong knowledge of APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and modern software development practices. Required Skills: • 10+ years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in Python . • Strong experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. • Hands-on experience developing and integrating REST APIs / Microservices . • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and data structures . • Experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle. • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB is a plus. • Strong experience with Git and software development/version-control practices. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. • Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms. • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable. • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as PyTest or unittest . • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: • Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging platforms. • Experience with Spark/PySpark and large-scale data processing. • Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code. • Knowledge of Linux/Unix scripting . • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus . • Experience working with AI/ML or data engineering applications is a plus. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications and backend services. • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices. • Work with database technologies to design efficient queries and data models. • Participate in architecture and technical design discussions. • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance. • Develop automated unit and integration tests. • Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices. • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment. • Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers. • Contribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical documentation.
