Job description

About Antithesis We build a platform that finds the bugs other testing approaches never see. Antithesis runs your entire system inside a deterministic simulation, breaks it in every way we can think of, and hands you a root cause with a perfect reproduction — no flaky tests, no false positives, no "works on my machine." Engineering teams debug faster and ship with far more confidence. AI-generated code has made this work more urgent than ever. Agents write code faster than any human can, but faster code isn’t better code if it’s buggy, stuck in review, or quietly failing in production. The verification bottleneck is real, and it’s growing. That is precisely the problem Antithesis exists to solve. We’ve spent years quietly rethinking how the world approaches software reliability, and we’re just getting started. We’re well-funded, deeply technical, and headquartered in Northern Virginia with satellite offices in London and San Francisco. Our team is in the office daily, which is how we take on hard problems together. If that sounds like fun to you, keep reading. About the Role Antithesis is looking for a Senior Accountant to support our financial close, reporting, and compliance functions. You'll work across the general ledger, reconciliations, and audit support doing the work that keeps our books accurate and our financial infrastructure sound. This is a role for someone who takes ownership of the numbers. You should bring technical accounting knowledge, a systematic approach to close, and a mindset that treats clean financials as a form of craft. We're in the office daily in Vienna, VA. What you'll do: - Own month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations - Apply GAAP standards, including ASC 606 revenue recognition, to our SaaS business mode - Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules - Support internal controls and document accounting policies - Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit and interim reviews - Assist with tax compliance, including support for federal and state filings - Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency and accuracy - What we're looking for - 4+ years of accounting experience; public accounting background preferred - CPA or active CPA candidate preferred - Strong working knowledge of GAAP, particularly revenue recognition for software companies - Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) - High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines - Self-starter who can operate with limited direction in a fast-moving
