Job description
Sellers’ trust in Amazon is our top priority and in this role, you will be tasked with building that trust over time by launching new products and developing novel means to measure our progress over time. Invention has become second nature at Amazon, and the pace of innovation is only accelerating. Amazon’s growth requires leaders who move fast, have an entrepreneurial spirit to create new products, have an unrelenting tenacity to get things done, and are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems.
From Day 1, Product Managers are given ownership of large products, the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions, and the ability to drive significant impact to the customer experience and the business. Over their careers, successful product managers will be exposed to multiple businesses/products, and pushed to grow into senior level general managers that independently run large business segments and organizations. This is a global role that will include interaction with teams in countries outside of the United States, requiring a strong ability to communicate effectively and understand the different needs of global customers. Your decisions are not only fundamental to the viability and attractiveness of our offering for Sellers, but they will in turn drive selection, revenue and growth of our overall business.
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - Tech to lead our efforts to simplify the experience for selling partners WW, as by thinking strategically about scaling systems and tooling across various selling partner cohorts and simplifying their experience for managing account health and compliance to regulatory requirements. This role owns development of core capabilities, prioritizing features according to impact/risk, and preparing launch & GTM strategies.
The Senior Product Manager-Tech is a bar-raising communicator, both verbally as well as in writing. This role requires clear articulation of complex problems and proposed solutions, and requires high judgement to ensure the right leaders are involved in decisions and regularly informed on progress. This role aligns teams towards clear priorities and advocates for investment delivering large, complex business initiatives, with clear mechanisms that audit progress towards shared goals and regularly reports results to ensure long-term business success. This leader collaborates across various VP-level organizations.
Key job responsibilities
Define and evolve the product strategy and vision grounded in customer needs, internal insights, and external analysis.
Identify opportunities to improve the Selling Partner experience and translate them into products and features with clear business impact.
Own the product roadmap from concept to launch - prioritize ruthlessly for ROI, manage scope, and deliver a consistent cadence of high-quality releases.
Write clear, comprehensive requirements documents and partner with engineering to influence technical design, make tradeoffs, and unblock delivery.
Work directly with internal customers to understand their use cases, pain points, and existing solutions.
Drive execution by establishing clear ownership, project commitments, and reporting mechanisms that keep teams accountable.
Build and own cross-org mechanisms (QBRs, roadmap reviews, goal alignment) to drive visibility and coordinated execution across teams.
Communicate and evangelize product innovations to stakeholders and the broader selling community.
Query and analyze data to surface insights that inform strategy, prioritization, and business decisions at scale.
A day in the life
You will own the product roadmap deciding what gets built now, what comes later, and what doesn't make the cut.
You will use your technical instincts to challenge assumptions before they become expensive mistakes. You will think beyond the immediate ask and build products that hold up as needs evolve, not just patching today's problem but getting ahead of tomorrow's.
You will live in the tradeoffs by balancing what customers want, what the business needs, and what's technically realistic. When something is a bottleneck, you will find it. When something is inefficient, you will fix it. When there's no perfect answer, you will pick the best one and move.
You will ship. On time, with the right features, at a quality bar you're proud of. And then you will make sure people actually use it by evangelizing the value, making onboarding dead simple, and removing every reason someone might not adopt.
You will dive deep into data to inform your decisions, write clear documents for senior leaders, and guide cross-functional teams forward through influence and not authority. You will be equally comfortable in a technical design review and a strategy discussion, and you will thrive in an environment that moves fast and rewards clarity of thought.
