SOFT's client located in New York, NY ( Hybrid ) is looking for a Java Developer for a long term contract assignment.

Responsibilities:
Support the existing RST tools including desktop tools and all associated backend microservices running in the CFS2 environment. Additionally, resource is also required as part of the Post Trade and Custody (PT&C) implementation and as well as ongoing support needs, all part of the Markets Transformation Program (MTP).

1. J2EE, Spring, Kafka, AWS, Microsoft VBA
Key aspects of the role:
• Design and develop microservices using Java and Spring Boot that integrate with external systems through its APIs, interfaces, and messaging channels. • RST has lot of excel tools that need enhancement, VBA expertise is very nice to have.
• Build and maintain Kafka-based messaging/streaming pipelines to support real-time data exchange between
• Deploy, manage, and optimize integration services within an AWS cloud environment.
• Collaborate with RST platform teams, architects, and business analysts to define integration contracts, data flows, and error-handling strategies.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and troubleshooting of production issues related to RST tools.
• Support testing phases (unit, integration, UAT) and help define Day-2 support processes for the tools.
• Document technical designs, data flows, and integration patterns for knowledge transfer and audit purposes.
