Job description

About VyOS Networks VyOS Networks is a leader in open networking for organizations that need secure, scalable, automated operations across bare metal, cloud and edge. Our product, VyOS, is an enterprise-grade networking platform for consistent operations and automation at scale, delivering full control and high performance with zero vendor lock-in. More than 1,500 organizations run VyOS in production, from service providers and cloud providers to enterprises and public institutions. Our goal is to restore ownership of network infrastructure to our users through transparent, vendor-neutral networking. Your network, your rules. Job description The Business Development Representative generates new sales opportunities for VyOS through outbound prospecting. The job is to find the right companies and people in the assigned territory, reach them with personalised outreach, qualify their interest and book meetings for the sales team. Build target account and contact lists in the assigned territory that match the VyOS ideal customer profile: network and infrastructure teams at service providers, cloud and hosting providers, MSPs and enterprises. Run outbound outreach every day: cold calls, personalised email sequences and LinkedIn messages. Qualify prospects against the ideal customer profile: company fit, use case, timing, and whether the contact is the decision maker or a technical influencer. Book discovery meetings for the account executive or the CRO, confirm attendance, and join the first call to hand over context. Follow up with prospects who showed interest but are not ready yet, and keep them warm until they are. Turn signals passed on by marketing (website visitors, LinkedIn profile viewers, event contacts) into outbound sequences. Keep HubSpot CRM accurate: every contact, touch, meeting and outcome logged the same day; sequences run in Apollo. How success is measured Qualified meetings booked and held per month. Outbound activity volume and reply rate. Meeting quality, as accepted by the account executive. Requirements 1 to 3 years in an outbound SDR or BDR role in B2B technology, with a track record of hitting meeting targets. Or a technical background looking to move into sales: an engineering degree or training in networking or systems administration, or hands-on experience as a network engineer, sysadmin or DevOps engineer. If you can talk to a network team in their own language and want to learn outbound sales, we will teach you the sales part. Experience selling to network, infrastructure or IT teams, or into service providers, is a plus. Familiarity with open-source software and Linux is a plus. Skills Comfortable with cold calling and with writing short, personalised outreach. Persistent, not put off by rejection. Clear written and spoken communication in English. Organised and disciplined with daily activity, follow-ups and CRM hygiene. Able to research an account quickly and find the right contact. Working knowledge of HubSpot and a sales engagement tool such as Apollo. LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus. Enough networking understanding to hold a first conversation (routing, firewalls, VPN, cloud networking), or the drive to learn it fast. About VyOS VyOS is an enterprise-grade network operating system that combines routing, firewall, VPN and core network services in one system with one configuration. It runs on standard x86-64 hardware, on every major hypervisor and in every major public cloud, so one design runs anywhere. Network engineers manage VyOS through a single CLI with commit and rollback, or through the API and standard automation tools. Our Mission Powering a connected world, engineering for the future.
