Venteon is currently seeking a Sr. Design Release Engineer - Electronics to fill an opening with a company located in Troy, MI. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Direct hire opportunity with a high-performing manufacturing company in the Metro Detroit area. In-office position with no travel required. Opportunity to work on advanced automotive safety electronics projects. Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams integrating software, hardware, systems, and manufacturing. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Develop functional requirements for passive safety electronics components. Develop and document test plans for required switches and actuators. Release component part numbers in the PLM system and maintain release schedules. Lead DFMEA reviews to identify technical issues and potential problems, driving product development and controls logic to reduce failures. WHAT IS REQUIRED Bachelor s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or similar field. Minimum 8 years of vehicle design experience in embedded electronics within the automotive industry. Minimum 5 years of experience in Design Release Engineering. Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams involving software, hardware, systems, and manufacturing. Knowledge of CAN-FD, LIN protocol, and physical topology requirements. Experience with CATIA V5 and Windchill PLM. Experience with DFMEA, PPAPs, Control Plans, and related quality processes. Strong problem-solving skills, including experience with tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone diagrams.
