Job description
Arable brings sensing technology, agronomic modeling, and machine learning together to turn field data into practical decisions. Our crop intelligence system helps growers, agronomists, and global agriculture enterprises optimize water use, improve productivity, reduce risk, and scale sustainable practices with confidence.
We believe agriculture deserves tools as advanced and intuitive as the growers who rely on them. By connecting hardware, data science, and software, we turn complex information into clear insights. Our team works every day to bring that vision to life.
Role Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager with AgTech experience who enjoys solving complex challenges at the intersection of agriculture, hardware, firmware, data science, and software. You’ll own end-to-end product execution, working across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions with real-world impact.
This role calls for an analytical, creative, and adaptable product leader who can quickly understand new challenges, establish priorities, and move initiatives forward independently. You’ll bring experience delivering technical agricultural products and a strong understanding of how hardware, software, and data work together to meet customer needs.
What You Will Do:
Own product execution from discovery and development through launch and ongoing improvement.
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, data science, software, operations, and commercial teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Turn customer and business needs into clear product requirements and actionable initiatives.
Apply agile and lean methods to support rapid iteration and keep teams aligned.
Work directly with growers and agronomists to understand their workflows and inform product priorities.
Use data to guide decisions, validate product direction, and measure results.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in AgTech, building or managing technical products for agriculture.
Experience building products that span hardware, firmware, data science, and software.
5+ years in product management, including 3+ years in fast-growing startups.
Demonstrated ability to get up to speed quickly, take ownership, and drive execution with limited guidance.
Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
Experience working effectively in lean, agile, and iterative development environments.
Creativity, curiosity, and sound judgment when navigating ambiguity.
Additional Experience We Value:
An agronomy background.
Experience in precision agriculture, sensing, irrigation, or environmental intelligence.
Experience in commercial or customer-facing roles.
Operational experience, including leading operational teams or building products that support their work.
Location and Travel:
U.S.-based, with California preferred. Candidates in Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas are also encouraged to apply.
Willingness to travel up to 20%.
If based in the San Francisco area, availability to work in the office three days per week.
What We Do:
At Arable, our goal is to connect all the world’s farms to help optimize the global food system. This is an ambitious goal, but the need has never been greater to rethink how we will feed an ever-growing population and reduce our impact on natural resources. We believe the heart of the solution is digitizing the analog world with high-fidelity data to help food producers optimize their operations. We hope the impact of our work will improve the lives of farmers everywhere and be a major contribution to securing the global food supply for decades to come.
A few examples of the work we’re doing today:
Helping farmers around the world reduce pesticide usage through advanced data and analytic techniques.
Giving produce growers in California the tools to optimize yields and minimize waste.
Helping irrigated farmers in Nebraska manage water more efficiently and sustainably to protect our water supply.
What We Offer:
At Arable, you will be joining a company of dedicated team players who bring together diverse expertise and a passion for building a more sustainable future. You’ll find no shortage of lively conversation around the lunch table about the food we eat and how it is produced. We are a fast-moving startup committed to providing a rewarding employee experience through the work we do, the team, compensation, and benefits, including:
Excellent medical, dental, vision, and a 401k program.
Ability to work closely with customers who are hungry for our product and where we can make a positive impact on their livelihood and the world.
A focus on community involvement and career development.
We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
At Arable, we don't just accept difference—we celebrate and support it. Not only because it's the right thing to do but because we draw on the differences in who we are, what we've experienced, and how we think to make Arable thrive. Arable is proud to be an equal-opportunity workplace and is an affirmative-action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, gender expression, protected veteran status, and any other characteristic protected under applicable State or Federal laws and regulations.
