A leading commercial furniture dealer in Houston is looking for a Furniture Designer to bring client's visions to life. You'll work hands-on with CET to build out furniture packages that turn a client's space into beautiful workspaces. This is a showroom-based role, sitting at the intersection of design and sales — you'll partner daily with the sales team and get face time with interior design clients, seeing projects through from concept to finished space. Responsibilities • Create detailed furniture layouts, specifications, and renderings using CET • Translate client and designer requirements into functional, on-brand furniture packages • Collaborate closely with the sales team throughout the sales cycle, from initial concept through final specification • Meet directly with interior design clients to understand space planning needs and present design solutions • Maintain accurate product specifications, finishes, and pricing within design packages • Support showroom presentations and client walkthroughs • Stay current on furniture lines, finishes, and product capabilities Skills and Experience • Proficiency in CET (CAP CET Designer) required; experience with AutoCAD or Revit a plus • Background in furniture design, space planning, or interior design • Strong eye for finishes, layout, and spatial flow • Comfortable presenting design concepts to clients and design professionals • Detail-oriented, especially around specifications and product accuracy • Collaborative mindset — this role lives at the intersection of design and sales Benefits and Culture • $60,000–$80,000 base salary • Based in a central Houston showroom, working alongside a close-knit design and sales team • Direct exposure to the local A&D community and high-profile commercial projects • Health benefits, PTO, and standard company holidays • A collaborative, low-ego culture where design input is genuinely valued • Room to grow within a company investing in its Austin presence
