What You’ll Do • Own entire product surfaces from initial design through production and iteration • Build core systems that touch real users and real money • Make pragmatic architectural decisions in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment • Ship quickly, then improve what matters • Set the technical bar that future engineers build on What We’re Looking For • 6+ years building and owning production systems • Strong product instincts and good judgment under uncertainty • Experience in fintech, financial or healthcare infrastructure, or AI-native products is a plus • Comfort operating with incomplete information and tight feedback loops • Care deeply about correctness, reliability, and user experience • Excitement about AI and the rapidly evolving tools at your disposal to help you build We care more about taste and ownership than about any specific stack. What This Is Not • A role with detailed specs handed down to you • A narrow slice of the system • An environment optimized for consensus over progress What Success Looks Like After 6 months, you’ve: • Shipped core product flows used by real customers • Made architectural decisions that unlocked speed and flexibility • Chose what not to build and saved the team months of work This role is ideal for anyone interested in founding their own company in the future. How We Work We work together in person in Brooklyn. We believe tight feedback loops produce better software and better decisions, especially early on. Benefits • The expected base pay range for this position is $175,000–$225,000 + meaningful early-stage equity, based on qualifications and experience • Team lunch every day • Medical, dental, and vision coverage • 401(k) • Competitive PTO policy • Commuter benefits • Equipment and setup of your choice This is a true zero-to-one role with real equity and real responsibility. If you’re excited about building from first principles and owning what you ship, we’d love to talk.
