Job description

ABOUT ASSEMBLED Assembled helps companies scale great customer support. As consumers, we’ve all been there. You need help, you’re stuck on hold or going in circles with an AI, and your problem still isn’t solved. Behind great support is a complex operational problem: thousands of people and AI agents working across teams, time zones, and products as new problems emerge. Assembled gives support leaders the tools to manage that complexity, from AI agents that resolve customer issues to software that forecasts demand, builds schedules, and makes intraday adjustments. More than 400 companies, including DoorDash, Salesforce, Stripe, and Sephora, trust Assembled assembled.com. We've raised $71M from NEA, Emergence Capital, Stripe, and Basis Set Ventures and have offices in San Francisco, New York, and London. THE ROLE Assembled helps customer support teams plan staffing, manage schedules, and respond as customer demand changes. We’re looking for a Product Manager to build agentic automation that handles the decisions behind those operations—from responding to unexpected staffing gaps to approving time off and shift swaps. You’ll make analysts’ jobs easier while giving support team members more autonomy and control over their schedules. You’ll take a new revenue-generating product from 0 to 1, building toward fully autonomous operations within customer-defined goals and guardrails. Working with Engineering, Design, and go-to-market teams, you’ll own the product from strategy through launch and adoption, including packaging and pricing tied to the work it automates and the value it delivers. You’ll build on a mature platform with live customers and real scale. This role is based in our San Francisco office, in person five days a week, Monday–Friday. WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE - Own the product vision and roadmap for agentic automation, connecting customer needs to measurable business outcomes. - Define the controls, visibility, and evaluations that let customers trust autonomous decisions and involve a person when needed. - Work directly with customers to test the product in live operations, measure its impact, and drive adoption. - Partner with go-to-market teams on packaging, pricing, and launch, and define the metrics that connect automated work to customer value and revenue. ABOUT YOU - 4+ years of product management experience in enterprise B2B SaaS. - Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to align engineering, design, commercial teams, and senior customer stakeholders. - A track record of taking ambiguous, 0-to-1 products from concept to production and adoption. - Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to use data and customer insights to make product tradeoffs. - Sound judgment about AI behavior, reliability, and when people should stay in control. - Experience working directly with customers to understand complex workflows and turn those insights into product decisions. - Experience at a growing startup, with the ability to prioritize and deliver as business needs evolve. OUR U.S. BENEFITS - Generous medical, dental, and vision benefits - Paid company holidays, sick time, and unlimited time off - Monthly credits to spend on each: professional development, general wellness, Assembled customers, and commuting - Paid parental leave - Onsite work model with catered lunches everyday (M–F), snacks, and beverages in our SF & NY offices - 401(k) plan enrollment The estimated base salary range for this role is $190,000 - $240,000 per year. The base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options are provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. We know great candidates don’t always meet every requirement listed in a job description. If the role excites you and you believe you can make an impact at Assembled, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and are committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels like they belong and has the opportunity to do their best work. We look forward to hearing from you! For United States Applicants: Assembled participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the United States.
