Lead Engineer for Transmission Line Design Projects Join our dynamic Engineering & Construction Group as a Lead Engineer, where you'll manage the design of high-voltage transmission line projects. This role encompasses overseeing projects from the conceptual phase through construction and commissioning, ensuring successful completion by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. • Manage the design of transmission generation tie lines for Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage projects. • Coordinate with engineering consultants to execute design plans. • Work closely with the Early Stage Project Manager to define project requirements and scope. • Secure engineering consulting resources and manage contracts through our Integrated Supply Chain Group. • Coordinate with stakeholders to develop routes and secure necessary permits and data. • Ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables for competitive proposals and project execution. • Represent the company's interests in meetings, providing updates on project progress and risk mitigation. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in high voltage transmission line projects. • Strong knowledge of transmission design and project management skills. • Technical competence in understanding diagrams and common deliverables. • Willingness to travel within North America. Preferences • Project Engineering or Project Management experience. • PMP and/or P.E. certification in a related discipline. • Proficiency with PLSCADD, Microsoft products, Auto-CAD, Primavera, and other industry-standard software.
