Job description

Overview Dynamic Catholic is seeking a brand-obsessed Art Director to serve as a keeper and guardian of our visual brand. We do not settle for "good enough." Our mission is to re-energize the Catholic Church in America, and we believe that world-class resources are the only way to meet people where they are. As the Art Director, you will be the steward of the Dynamic Catholic brand, ensuring that every asset—from a social media graphic to a multi-million dollar program launch—is visually stunning, strategically aligned, and executed to a "World Class" standard before it ever leaves the building. Crucially, you have the professional maturity to subordinate your ego to the Mission. You understand that the best idea is the one that serves the Strategic Vision of the organization, and you are ready to "kill your darlings" whenever a project requires a pivot or a higher level of brand alignment. Who We Are At Dynamic Catholic, our Mission is simple: to re-energize the Catholic Church in America. We develop and distribute world-class resources that inspire people to rediscover the genius of Catholicism. We are a mission-focused team working together to produce top-tier messaging and content that leads people to where God is calling them to be. Role Overview We Have A World Class Standard: A culture that relentlessly pursues excellence. We believe the beauty of our work should reflect the beauty of the Faith. Vast Creative Variety: You will work across a myriad of offerings: The International Society of the Eucharist, Holy Moments, The Surrender Project, BEST LENT EVER, and more. A Talented Creative Collective: A dedicated group of designers who will look to you as a resource, mentor, and brand expert. Meaningful Impact: The opportunity to use your creative gifts to change lives and impact the future of the Church. Onsite Perks: A collaborative office environment with an onsite Chapel and Gym. You Have A Vision for Excellence: You possess an elite sense of taste and a discriminating eye. You don't just see a design; you see the potential for a "World Class" experience and have the technical know-how to guide it there. Strategic & Technical Mastery: You are a veteran of Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite. You can jump into the files when needed, but your primary focus is high-level brand architecture and visual storytelling. A Spirit of Excellence: You are a "continuous learner" who welcomes feedback and iterative design. You have the rare ability to subordinate your ego—abandoning even your favorite creative concepts if they don't serve the Mission or the Strategic Objectives. You understand that refining a project isn't about personal artistic preferences; it’s about reaching the 8-18%. You possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and understand that "Zooming Out" to receive feedback is a critical part of our culture. Extreme Ownership: You take personal responsibility for the visual integrity of the organization. You are the "gatekeeper" who ensures brand consistency across every digital and print touchpoint. What You’ll Do Brand Guardian: You are the final check. You will review visual assets across the department, providing the necessary pressure-test to ensure they meet the World Class standard before they are released to the public. Brand Architect: Maintain and evolve our brand guidelines, ensuring our visual language remains fresh, cohesive, and compelling for our target audience. Creative Resource: Act as a mentor and creative guide for the design team, helping them elevate their work through collaborative feedback and brand coaching. Multi-Disciplinary Partner: Work directly with Marketing, Content, Development, and Leadership to navigate the tension between brand aesthetics, technical requirements, and mission-driven performance. Location This position is located in the Greater Cincinnati Area. Applicants who are not local must be willing to relocate—which is why we offer relocation assistance!
