Job description

NEOGOV is seeking a Vice President of Revenue Operations to build and own the operational engine behind our next chapter of scale. As the Chief Revenue Officer’s principal advisor, we need a powerhouse leader who has built high-performing revenue engines before, thrives on complex challenges, and knows exactly how to execute. To succeed in this role, you must be a true business partner who has spent time in the trenches with sales leaders. You know firsthand what sellers and their leaders need to perform, allowing you to build systems that accelerate deals rather than creating operational friction. You read the business through its data, catching early signals and eliminating obstacles long before they impact company goals. Your deep expertise in building data structures, predictive models, and rigorous forecasting disciplines will allow our leadership to see around corners and trust every single number. Your baseline is uncompromising operational excellence. You have a proven track record of aligning people, processes, and technology across Finance, Marketing, and Product to turn ambitious targets into consistent, day-to-day results. You will also oversee our sales engineering function, partnering with the leader on transforming their technical expertise into a decisive advantage that accelerates deals. You bring a disciplined, architectural perspective to the tech stack, preferring to engineer the smartest execution path rather than reaching for a new vendor tool to solve every problem. You will apply this same pragmatism to overseeing our RFP engine, working with the leader on driving higher win rates through strategic, high-leverage optimization and cross-functional collaboration. We are in a period of rapid, multi-product growth. If you are energized by the challenge of running a best-in-class, AI-powered, data-driven revenue engine, this role is for you. • Partner with the CRO as their operational right hand, architecting the day-to-day mechanics of the revenue organization and building alignment with executive peers across Finance, Marketing, Product, and beyond. • Lead the operations organization with a clear, compelling vision, setting direction for the team. • Partner with the Senior Director of Revenue Operations and data analytics team to shift from reactive reporting to proactive, data-driven insights that identify risks early, inform decisions, and keep revenue targets on track. • Own a pragmatic, build-over-buy AI and automation strategy. Rather than licensing more external software, guide the team in leveraging Python and leading AI models (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) to build custom, in-house infrastructure for reporting workflows and territory management. • Continuously evolve NEOGOV’s sales systems, advanced reporting, and data-driven quota allocation models to maximize operational efficiency and revenue predictability. • Guide the Revenue Operations team in using Salesforce, Tableau, and Excel to deliver performance reporting and executive dashboards that leadership trusts and acts on. • Champion rigorous data governance, including automated validation rules and deduplication processes, so that every forecast is built on clean, reliable data. • Lead the Procurement Director and their team of Proposal Managers, critically evaluating existing workflows and output to transform NEOGOV’s RFP (Request for Proposal) process: increasing win rates, streamlining proposal generation, and strengthening cross-departmental collaboration. • Lead the Sales Engineering Manager and team to strategically allocate technical resources across opportunities, prioritizing efforts that maximize revenue impact, improve deal conversion, and support go-to-market objectives. • Oversee the Revenue Operations Coordinator and own the revenue technology stack, ensuring tools are effectively implemented, integrated, adopted, and utilized to streamline workflows and improve revenue performance. • Lead the AI GTM function to identify, prioritize, and execute AI-driven initiatives that improve sales productivity, accelerate revenue growth, and drive adoption of AI across go-to-market teams. • Build a culture of structured mentorship and coaching across every team you lead, elevating individual performance and developing the next generation of revenue leaders. • Partner with Finance and Sales leadership to align annual quotas with shifting market conditions, an expanding product portfolio, and evolving business needs. • A passionate customer-focused individual • An individual who works well with others and thrives in an ever-changing environment. • An analytical thinker with strong organizational skills able to multitask and work independently while still producing high quality results. • Someone with a continuous thirst for knowledge and ability to independently maintain knowledge relating to our customers, product, process and the Customer Success industry. • A people-person with presentation, written, and oral communications skills. • A multi-tasker extraordinaire and time management guru. What You Have • Extensive executive leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing and setting direction for senior-level directors, particularly in Revenue or Sales Operations. • Deep understanding of the procurement landscape, with demonstrated success in evaluating and optimizing complex RFP and proposal management processes. • Advanced comprehension of modern RevOps technology stacks, including Salesforce database schemas, Tableau, and outreach applications. • Familiarity with guiding teams through the implementation of AI and automation tooling (e.g., LLMs, BI automation, Python) to replace or improve legacy reporting workflows. • Strong background in data governance, predictive modeling, and the analysis of large datasets to uncover critical patterns in customer behavior and formulate actionable business strategies. • Exceptional ability to optimize sales workflows as business needs evolve, improve seller productivity, and maintain accurate, reliable forecasting and reporting to support confident revenue decisions. • Excellent written and verbal communication, cross-departmental relations, and organizational skills. • Comprehensive Benefits Package (medical, dental, vision, etc.) for full-time employees • Generous PTO • Remote working opportunities • 401K Matching • Autonomy to grow and find your career path with supportive leadership • Truly inclusive and diverse environment • 12-week Paid Parental Leave • Additional Benefits specific to department, etc. NEOGOV do not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, retaliation, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factors.
