Take Your Recruitment Career Further
Are you an experienced recruiter ready to take ownership of major client accounts, deliver against established demand and build something bigger?
At Piper Maddox, we're looking for a Key Account Manager (Delivery) to join our high-performing Corporate Functions team in New York City. This is an opportunity to step into a desk with established relationships, substantial live job flow and significant scope to grow some of our largest accounts.
You'll inherit valuable client relationships and guaranteed jobs to work from day one, giving you the platform to focus on what you do best: delivering exceptional recruitment solutions, strengthening partnerships and unlocking new opportunities within existing accounts.
With a supportive, ambitious team around you and the opportunity to build your own team within 6–12 months, this is a role for someone who wants to make an immediate impact while building a long-term career.
The Opportunity
This isn't a traditional, cold-business-development-heavy recruitment role. You'll join a team that has already built strong relationships across Piper Maddox's client base, with a focus on growing existing accounts, delivering against live vacancies and expanding relationships into new areas of opportunity .
The Corporate Functions team supports businesses across Solar, Wind, Energy Storage, Trading, Cleantech and E-Mobility. You'll work with clients navigating growth and transformation, helping them secure the corporate talent they need to move forward.
The desk offers a strong starting point: 22 live jobs, established accounts and a portfolio that includes several significant client relationships. You'll have the autonomy to manage delivery, build trust with key stakeholders and identify opportunities to expand the team's footprint within those businesses.
You'll also be joining a team with a strong performance culture, where development and promotion are genuine priorities.
Why Piper Maddox?
• A desk with momentum: Take ownership of established accounts and live vacancies from day one, rather than starting from scratch.
• Significant client relationships: Work with major accounts and build on existing Piper Maddox partnerships.
• A delivery-led opportunity: Focus on recruitment delivery, account management and growing relationships, with business development centred on existing clients.
• A high-performing team: Join a team with a strong track record and ambitious goals.
• Room to build: Develop your own client portfolio and, as the opportunity grows, build a team around you.
• A supportive environment: Work alongside people who want to see you succeed, with a friendly culture and a healthy sprinkle of banter.
The Corporate Functions Market
Piper Maddox is a specialist talent partner to businesses operating across the energy transition. Within Corporate Functions, the team supports hiring across a broad range of business-critical functions spanning:
• Solar and Wind
• Energy Storage
• Energy Trading
• Cleantech
• E-Mobility
This breadth creates opportunities to build relationships across different functions and business areas, deepening existing partnerships and opening up additional revenue streams.
You'll be encouraged to understand your clients' businesses, anticipate their hiring needs and become a trusted recruitment partner, rather than simply responding to individual vacancies.
Why Join This Team?
The numbers tell a story of a team with real momentum. During the first half of the year, the team invoiced $736,000, with a record invoice month of $334,089. Its average profit per head has been among the highest in the company.
The team currently manages a portfolio of 14 active client accounts, including five accounts billing more than $100,000. Its average fee is approximately $32,000, demonstrating the value of the relationships and opportunities you'll be working with.
There is also a clear opportunity to make your mark. The team has grown from two people to six over the past four years, with a target of eight by the end of 2026. The successful candidate will help drive that next stage of growth.
Just as importantly, the team is committed to developing its people. Recent examples include a team member promoted within seven months, another on track for $750,000 in annual billings, and a consultant who invoiced $130,000 in a single quarter. The wider team is working towards further progression this year.
You'll be joining a team where performance is recognised, people support one another and progression is actively encouraged.
