Job description

New York City - FiDi, in person $95,000–$160,000 OTE Meaningful Series A equity About Trayd Trayd is solving the oldest problem in America: how do we build physical infrastructure that lasts generations? We’re replacing manual processes and legacy systems with AI-native software built around how construction actually runs. Companies using our software have built some of America’s greatest infrastructure projects like the Buffalo Bills’ Highmark Stadium and JFK International Airport. We're building the category-defining back office for trade contractors with a platform that runs live payroll, job costing, and accounting workflows every week for the hardest-working people in the country. We grew 600% over the last year with a lean team of ~30, made up of some of the sharpest and most driven talent in New York. We were in Y Combinator’s Summer 2023 batch and have raised over $15 million from Tier 1 investors. We’re proudly and permanently based in NYC. We’re in the next phase of growth, and every hire here directly shapes what customers see next. Role Overview As an early member of the sales team, you will work closely with the CRO and Account Executives to execute go-to-market strategy, engage prospective customers, and create high-quality opportunities that move the business forward. At Trayd, every day is different and you might find yourself shaping our sales strategy one day and pitching a major contractor the next. We hire people who see a problem and run toward it. People who move quickly, figure things out, and take ownership from day one. We care less about your pedigree and more about your track record and what you’ve accomplished along the way. At Trayd, you will have the autonomy to tackle hard problems from end to end, make decisions that shape the trajectory of the company, and see the impact of your work firsthand. You will help build the foundation for Trayd’s growth beyond Series A, with massive room for your own growth throughout the organization as we scale together. What You'll Do Own Top-of-Funnel Pipeline Generation • Prospect and qualify target accounts, decision-makers, and buying committees within construction companies through outbound and inbound channels (email, phone, LinkedIn). Build and Maintain a Strong Pipeline • Own early-stage pipeline creation and maintain accurate activity, notes, and next steps in the CRM, hitting weekly and monthly activity, meeting, and pipeline targets. What You'll Bring • 1-3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or outbound sales role, ideally in B2B SaaS or selling to SMB and mid-market customers. • Proven ability to hit activity and meeting-setting targets through outbound prospecting across email, phone, and LinkedIn. • Experience with CRM and sales tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Apollo, and Sales Navigator. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
