Senior Recruiter
Senior Recruiter Opportunity in Buffalo or Rochester, NY
30th September, 2026
JMS Talent Partners (formerly JMS Technical Solutions) | Buffalo, NY
We're growing fast. And we're looking for people who want to grow with us.
At JMS Talent Partners, we're not interested in being just another staffing agency. We're building something different. We believe recruiting should be about relationships, not transactions. We believe in moving quickly, being transparent, taking ownership, and doing the right thing, even when nobody's watching. We're a rapidly growing recruiting firm with an entrepreneurial culture, big ambitions, and a team that genuinely cares about winning together.
We're looking for a Senior Recruiter who wants more than just another recruiting job. Someone who thrives on variety, loves the hunt, builds meaningful relationships, and takes pride in delivering results. If you're resourceful, competitive, curious, and willing to roll up your sleeves, you'll fit right in.
This is a hybrid/full-time position in either Buffalo or Rochester, NY
Salary range depends on experience: $70K-$90K
What You'll Do
No two days at JMS are the same. We're looking for a versatile recruiter, a true jack-of-all-trades, who can confidently recruit across multiple industries and disciplines. Our primary focus areas include manufacturing, engineering, administrative/professional, and technology positions.
• Own the full recruiting lifecycle, from sourcing and screening through offers and placements.
• Recruit across a diverse range of positions, from skilled manufacturing professionals and engineers to administrative leaders and IT specialists.
• Build relationships with candidates that extend beyond a single opportunity.
• Develop creative sourcing strategies to uncover talent others overlook.
• Move with urgency while maintaining high standards for quality.
• Collaborate closely with our sales and recruiting teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.
• Manage multiple searches, changing priorities, and competing deadlines.
• Take ownership of your results while contributing to the success of the entire team.
What Makes JMS Different?
We're not a corporate recruiting machine. We're entrepreneurial, collaborative, and adaptable. We don't believe in unnecessary bureaucracy, micromanagement, or doing something simply because "that's how it's always been done."
We believe great people do their best work when they're trusted, challenged, supported, and given room to succeed.
At JMS, your ideas matter. Your contributions are visible. And your ability to make an impact isn't limited by your job title. We work hard, celebrate wins, learn from setbacks, and genuinely enjoy building something together.
Our Core Values Aren't Just Words on a Wall. They're how we operate every day.
• Flexible Accountability: We give people freedom and flexibility, but we expect ownership, follow-through, and results.
• Drive & Grit: Recruiting isn't always easy. We embrace challenges, persevere through setbacks, and find a way to get things done.
• Transparency: We communicate openly, honestly, and directly with our teammates, clients, and candidates.
• Humility: We check our egos at the door. Nobody is above learning, helping, or rolling up their sleeves.
• Adaptability: Markets change. Priorities shift. We embrace change and find opportunities where others see obstacles.
• Urgency: Speed matters. We act decisively, respond quickly, and understand that great opportunities don't wait around.
Who Thrives Here? We're looking for someone who:
• Has experience recruiting across multiple industries or is excited to expand beyond a single specialty.
• Understands how to source and engage passive candidates, not just review applications.
• Is comfortable recruiting for manufacturing, engineering, professional, and technical roles.
• Is naturally curious and willing to learn unfamiliar positions and industries.
• Has a strong sense of personal accountability.
• Brings energy, urgency, resilience, and a positive attitude.
• Can work independently without needing constant direction.
• Values teamwork and recognizes that individual success and team success go hand in hand.
• Is motivated by results, relationships, and the opportunity to build something bigger.
We care more about your attitude, work ethic, adaptability, and ability to deliver than whether you've recruited for every type of position we handle.
Why Join JMS?
Because we believe work should be challenging, rewarding, and enjoyable. You'll join a growing company where you can make a meaningful impact, develop professionally, expand your recruiting expertise, and help shape our future. We're looking for people who want to contribute, not just collect a paycheck. People who take pride in their work, care about their teammates, and get excited about what we're building.
Sound Like You?
If you love recruiting, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to join a company where ownership, hustle, humility, and results matter, we'd love to meet you. Come help us build the next chapter of JMS Talent Partners.
