Job description

About Machina Labs: Engineering moves at software speed. Manufacturing doesn't. Yet. Machina Labs is changing that. We build intelligent, software-defined factories that produce complex metal structures directly from digital design. By integrating advanced metal forming, robotics, and automated production inside a flexible factory architecture, we enable customers to move from prototype to production in weeks, not years. Backed by Lockheed Martin, Toyota, and NVIDIA, we're building the manufacturing infrastructure that defense, aerospace, and advanced mobility programs will run on. If you want to work on hard problems that matter and see them fly, drive, and defend, this is the place. Job Description: Machina Labs is seeking a Senior Accountant to own our accounts payable function and support broader accounting operations across a multi-entity NetSuite environment. This role is hands-on with day-to-day AP processing while also contributing to GL analysis, journal entries, and process improvement as the company scales. The Senior Accountant will report to and work closely with the Accounting Manager to build scalable processes across procurement, AP, and close. Key Responsibilities: Own the accounts payable function, including vendor bills and invoices in NetSuite and Bill.com, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. Perform 3-way matching (PO, receipt, invoice) to validate bills before payment. Manage vendor onboarding, including W-9/W-8 collection, banking setup, and record maintenance across NetSuite and Bill.com. Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, reclasses, corrections) as part of month-end and year-end close. Perform GL account analysis and reconciliations, including credit card transactions and other balance sheet accounts, and maintain clean account classifications and coding. Maintain the fixed asset schedule, including additions, disposals, and depreciation. Identify and help resolve process gaps, particularly around system integrations. Support audit preparation as needed, including pulling supporting documentation, organizing transaction populations, and responding to auditor requests. Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed. *This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required for this role. Duties and responsibilities may change based on business needs. Required Background & Experience: 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant time in accounts payable. Hands-on experience with NetSuite. Experience performing 3-way matching in a procure-to-pay environment. Detail-oriented with strong reconciliation and analytical skills. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Preferred Qualifications: Manufacturing industry experience. Public accounting experience. Government contract accounting experience. Bill.com experience.
