A global financial institution is seeking an experienced attorney to join its in-house legal team. This role offers broad exposure across commercial banking, regulatory, litigation, and corporate legal matters while partnering closely with business leaders and external counsel. The ideal candidate enjoys balancing strategic legal advice with hands-on execution in a highly regulated environment. What You'll Do Provide practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders on a wide range of commercial and operational matters.Draft, review, negotiate, and revise contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation supporting the business.Partner with outside counsel to manage litigation, disputes, regulatory matters, and other legal proceedings.Research and interpret U.S. Laws and regulations, translating legal developments into practical business guidance.Respond to subpoenas, government requests, regulatory inquiries, and other legal process, coordinating internal investigations and document production as needed.Prepare legal memoranda, briefing materials, and written analyses for senior leadership.Support internal ethics, reporting, and compliance initiatives, including whistleblower-related matters.Communicate legal developments and provide updates to global stakeholders.Identify legal and regulatory risks, recommend appropriate mitigation strategies, and help strengthen internal controls and governance. What We're Looking For J.D. From an accredited U.S. Law school.Active membership in the New York State Bar, in good standing.Approximately 5-8 years of legal experience gained at a law firm and/or within a financial services organization.Strong background in commercial contracts, financial services regulation, and general corporate legal matters.Experience managing outside counsel and coordinating complex legal projects.Excellent legal writing, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Ability to communicate effectively with international colleagues;Mandarin language skills are a plus.
