Senior Litigation Paralegal – Atlanta, GA (4-day onsite)
70k – 100k
We are looking for a Litigation Paralegal with 5+ years of experience to support a busy, partner-led team handling mostly employment and complex civil litigation matters. We want someone who stays calm under pressure, can handle several deadlines landing at once, and wants a long-term career here. You would join a mid-sized firm with a close-knit culture: no billable requirement for staff, no clocking in or out, and team lunches twice a week. It's a strong fit for big law paralegals who are tired of being micromanaged.
Responsibilities
• Supporting partners and attorneys on employment and complex civil litigation cases from start to finish, with only occasional trials
• Drafting and proofreading pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Bluebooking and cite-checking briefs, since this team relies heavily on Bluebook citations
• Running discovery, document productions, deposition summaries, and exhibit prep using e-discovery and research tools
• Juggling several matters with deadlines that often hit at the same time, and billing steadily every day
• Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, document review, trial preparation, and appellate support.
• Draft and proofread pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence.
• Coordinate and manage large-scale document productions and e-discovery platforms.
• Prepare deposition summaries, trial binders, exhibit lists, and witness files.
• Support attorneys during hearings, trials, and client meetings.
• Support attorneys with legal research, brief writing, and cite-checking.
• Conduct factual research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and other tools.
• Maintain case files and calendaring systems with meticulous attention to deadlines.
• Liaise with clients, experts, and vendors with professionalism and discretion.
Key Requirements
• At least 5 years of litigation paralegal experience; the ideal range is about 5–12 years
• Defense-side experience in complex civil litigation (no plaintiffs firms). Employment law is a strong plus, but candidates with only insurance defense experience won't be considered
• Litigation paralegal experience in complex civil litigation
(law firm, corporate legal department, federal court practice)
• A proven ability to prioritize and push through several competing deadlines
• Bluebooking experience strongly preferred, or a clear ability to pick up the current edition quickly
• Stable work history and a long-term career commitment; big law experience (e.g., Greenberg Traurig, Alston & Bird) is a plus. A paralegal certificate is not required
Tech stack
• Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, E-discovery platforms, Bluebook citation
