Job Description Senior Cost Accountant Overview • The Senior Cost Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing and analyzing cost accounting functions within a hybrid work environment. • Collaborate with a dynamic cost accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and inventory management. • Contribute to the month-end close process, ensuring timely and precise financial statements. • Engage in cost of goods sold analysis and overhead cost evaluations to support strategic decision-making. • Provide audit support, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. • Analyze inventory transactions and controls, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. • Work closely with senior leadership, including the Head of Cost Accounting and CFO, to drive financial efficiency. • Ideal for professionals with a manufacturing background and strong costing expertise. Senior Cost Accountant Key Responsibilities & Duties • Review and validate weekly inventory transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support inventory roll-forwards and subledger tie-outs. • Assist in the month-end close process, contributing to timely financial reporting. • Conduct cost of goods sold analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimization. • Analyze cost and overhead data to support strategic financial planning. • Maintain inventory controls and schedules, ensuring operational efficiency. • Provide audit support, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cost accounting processes.
