Director, Marketing at AvatarFleet

Job description

Department: Sales Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer Location: Remote Type: Full-time About AvatarFleet AvatarFleet helps transportation companies recruit, qualify, and stay compliant with the drivers who keep their fleets moving. Our platform, anchored by DriverHub, combines an applicant tracking system, DOT-compliant driver qualification files, and ongoing compliance monitoring into a single source of truth. We serve carriers across trucking, motorcoach, transit, and last-mile delivery who depend on us to keep their drivers road-ready and audit-ready. About the Role AvatarFleet is bringing on a Director of Marketing to build and run the demand generation engine that feeds Sales a steady flow of qualified leads. This role exists to bring qualified leads via form fills to the sales team, with a goal of $900K in marketing-sourced revenue. This is a hands-on role. You will own the pipeline and revenue numbers directly, not just brand, content, or events. You will operate HubSpot yourself, run paid search and LinkedIn campaigns directly, and bring your own plan rather than waiting for direction. What You'll Do • Own lead generation. Build and run the programs that drive inbound form fills, and report progress against target run rate. • Operate HubSpot directly. Build forms, workflows, and attribution reporting yourself, without relying on an agency. • Run paid acquisition. Manage paid search and LinkedIn campaigns directly, and manage budget to a cost-per-form-fill target. • Track marketing-sourced revenue. Build and maintain closed-won ARR attribution in HubSpot, agreed with Sales. • Improve the funnel. Monitor and improve the form-fill-to-held-meeting rate in partnership with Sales. • Set the direction. Bring a plan and a point of view on what should happen next, rather than waiting to be told. • Report on results. Track and communicate progress against 30/60/90-day and 12-month KPI targets. What You Bring • Pipeline ownership. You've owned a pipeline or revenue number in B2B demand generation, not just brand, content, or events. • Hands-on HubSpot experience. You build forms, workflows, and attribution reporting yourself, without relying on an agency. • Paid acquisition experience. You've run paid search and LinkedIn campaigns directly and managed budget to a cost-per-form-fill target. • A self-starter mindset. You set direction and push the standard, rather than waiting for one. Nice to Have • Experience marketing to a multi-stakeholder buyer (HR, safety, ownership) at a similar price point. • Experience turning trade shows and conference presence into booked meetings. • Trucking, motorcoach, transportation, or HR/compliance tech experience. How You'll Be Measured • Form Fills. Present a plan to hit the 2027 target at 30 days, show progress against baseline at 60 days, reach a 25/month run rate at 90 days, and 300 total inbound form fills at 12 months. • Marketing-Sourced Closed-Won ARR. Build attribution in HubSpot and align with Sales at 30 days, reach $15K cumulative ARR at 60 days, $45K at 90 days, and $900K cumulative in FY2027. • Form Fill to Held Meeting Rate. Establish baseline at 30 days, hold baseline at 60 days, improve baseline +5 points at 90 days, and +10 points at 12 months. Values We Hire For • Grit. This work is fast-paced and the problems are real. You stay composed and keep moving. • Gratitude. You show up with appreciation for the team, the customers, and the mission. • Giver. You make your teammates faster and your customers more capable, not just your own numbers better. • Growth Mindset. You treat every campaign as something to learn from and every process as something to improve. Why AvatarFleet You will be joining AvatarFleet at a moment where the demand generation function is being built, not just run. You will have direct ownership over pipeline and revenue targets, work closely with Sales, and see your work move the needle from day one. AvatarFleet is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
