And our people are just as real as our ingredients – authentic, collaborative, and dedicated to fostering a workplace that inspires individuals and teams to reach their full potential.
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a Product Lifecycle & Master Data Specialist to own the accuracy of our product information, from specifications and item master data to lifecycle records. Reporting to our Quality & FDA Compliance Manager, you’ll make sure every product’s data is accurate, approved, traceable, and consistent across our systems and channels. You’ll partner with Product Development, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Accounting, Marketing, Sales, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to support product launches, manufacturing, compliance, and reliable reporting. You’re detail-driven, systems-minded, and the kind of person who can’t leave a data discrepancy unresolved.
What You’ll Do
Product Lifecycle Management
• Manage product information and lifecycle status from concept and development through launch, active sale, discontinuation, and obsolescence.
• Support our new product stage-gate process by making sure required product information, approvals, and cross-functional inputs are complete before each handoff.
• Coordinate product change requests for formulas, packaging, labels, suppliers, and manufacturing data, and communicate timing and impact to affected teams.
• Support launch readiness by coordinating item setup, required documentation, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Review slow-moving products and recommend whether to reformulate, discontinue, or take other action, with supporting data for stakeholders.
Specification & Compliance Data
• Create, maintain, revise, and distribute approved finished-product, ingredient, and packaging specifications to internal teams and manufacturing partners.
• Maintain specification revision history, approval records, and supporting documents so the correct approved version is always in use.
• Partner with Quality to manage product compliance data, including formulation versions, label claims, certifications and attributes (such as organic, non-GMO, and allergen information), UPC/GTIN assignments, and record retention.
• Make sure product and material records link to the right specifications and documents, and flag missing, expired, or inconsistent information for resolution.
Product Master Data & NetSuite
• Own the item master as the single source of truth for SKU data, and set and enforce data standards, naming conventions, item structures, and classifications (including Class, Department, and Category).
• Keep product, ingredient, and packaging data consistent across NetSuite, our digital asset, warehouse and 3PL, e-commerce, and other connected systems, and resolve discrepancies quickly.
• Create and maintain NetSuite item records and bills of materials (BOMs), including item types (inventory, assembly, kit, and matrix items), units of measure, preferred vendors, reorder points, and costing.
• Maintain BOM yield and scrap assumptions and revision control so formula or component changes stay traceable and don’t overwrite historical costing or production records.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to align BOMs with manufacturing partner records, document approved substitutions and alternate vendors, and reconcile assembly builds, inventory, and lot data across systems.
• Coordinate UPC/GTIN and item attribute requirements so product data supports accurate reporting, fulfillment, and channel needs.
Change Control & Systems Support
• Maintain product change records and revision history in support of formal Change Control, and make sure updates are reflected in every affected system and document.
• Partner with the NetSuite administrator and system owners on custom fields, data ownership, and integration mappings for e-commerce, EDI, PIM, and other downstream channels.
• Support PLM, ERP, eQMS, data migration, and system improvement projects, including testing changes to workflows, integrations, and data structures.
• Document data management procedures and find ways to improve data quality, automation, traceability, and consistency.
What You’ll Bring
Experience
• 3-5+ years of experience with product specifications, master data, ERP or PLM systems, or a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally in food, supplements, or CPG.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite item records, BOMs, and inventory or product data integrations.
• Familiarity with product compliance data such as label claims, allergens, certifications, and UPC/GTIN requirements.
• Experience with SharePoint, eQMS, PIM, or e-commerce and EDI integrations is a plus.
Skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
• Clear communication and the ability to coordinate data changes across many teams and systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
