Job description

Transforming into an AI ERP Distru is the #1 ERP in the Cannabis Industry with $15B in sales processed through our platform. We’ve built a battle-tested ERP and B2B eCommerce platform that powers inventory, manufacturing, sales, and logistics. We are expanding on our robust ERP foundation and building AI infrastructure to provide commercial businesses their all in one AI stack. We are growing, profitable , and in a strong position to invest in the AI transformation of our product, GTM motion, and internal way of working. We’re investing heavily in resources including company wide AI classes + workshops, AI demo days, AI hackathons, and access to the best in class models/tools. We take a tremendous amount of pride in our culture and have 5/5 stars on Glassdoor because we truly care about our people. Our investors include Felicis Ventures , Global Founders Capital , Poseidon Asset Management , and Village Global who have funded companies such as Shopify, Cruise, HelloFresh, Facebook, Slack, and Opendoor. The Opportunity We are looking for an AI PM to join our AI-first team! You’ll be working directly with executives, the technical team, and customers to build out our AI product line. We are in the early stages, which means you get to define the product from the ground up and make strong, opinionated calls on what we build and where it goes next. AI is at an inflection point in model capability for the enterprise use case and AI assistants like Codex/Claude/Grok are seeing record adoption in the workplace. We believe the System of Record has never been more valuable to help consolidate and organize data for AI to act upon. We are building towards a headless first direction that focuses on unified access to their ERP data, deep MCP + embedded AI assistant integrations, agents embedded in Distru, and seamless UX between the ERP + AI assistant tools. The AI space is incredibly dynamic so the specifics will change with time, so this vision is something you will mold. You'll own and evolve Distru's AI product suite, including: MCP: connect AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT directly to Distru data Agent Builder: build agents that run inside Distru, with workflow support for multi-step processes Unified Data Engine: unify ERP and business data into one layer that AI can query and act on And more… You'll drive the product direction for these suites: choosing the features we build, writing the PRDs, and taking each one from launch to real adoption. You'll prioritize the work that drives the most revenue impact for the future of Distru, report directly to the executive team, and work closely with engineering, design, GTM, and customer success. Our Team Culture Rather than us defining our culture, check out what the team has to say ! We love building with AI! We're building a team of people who genuinely enjoy the process of building with AI and gain energy trying out new fun tools + platforms. Trying new models the week they drop, building agents for fun, and forming strong opinions on what works. For every AI role, we look for three things: Tool fluency: your setup is AI forward and you have opinions on which tools to use (and not use). You go beyond prompting ChatGPT or Claude and have built your own skills, agents, or workflows. Workflow fluency: you can break a PM process into human steps, AI steps, and hybrid steps, and explain what you chose to automate, what you kept human, and why. Product fluency: you've shipped AI features that hold up in the real world, with nuanced workflows, different user personas, and users who aren't AI fluent. You know when AI feels natural versus forced, and you can defend the calls you made. What You'll Own Product Execution Gathering customer feedback directly and through CS and sales, then deconstructing it into system level AI features that can benefit the wider user base and scale with future additions Prioritizing product roadmap and timeline Creating PRDs with thoughtful UX designs, ready for the engineering team to execute on Product Ownership Owning a feature from inception to release, to iteration, to continued maintenance Ensuring the success of a feature you’re responsible for. You will define and measure the feature, you are the CEO of every feature you touch. Owning the knowledge base, MCP docs, and go-to-market content for your features, and working with marketing and sales to enable them on everything you ship Cross-functional leadership Working closely with engineering, GTM, sales & CS. You're the bridge that pulls insights from every department together and keeps the product moving. Reporting to the executive team What We're Looking For Must-Haves 3+ years in product management. Product ownership: owned and shipped features end to end, from ambiguous problem statement to launched feature with measurable outcomes. You’ve owned at least one significant AI feature or product end to end, from discovery through launch and iteration. UX proficiency: created intuitive products that abstract away complexity for the user, without the need for a designer AI passion: you're passionate about AI and constantly experiment with new models, tools, and workflows on your own time. You use AI tools daily and can tell us specifically where your fluency is strong and where you’re still building it. Clear communication: ability to convey your thoughts in a brief and clear way. Technical fluency: engineering concepts such as SQL, telemetry, agentic harnesses, subagents, RAG, etc… Tooling: experience with product management tooling (Notion, Miro, Claude, Hotjar, LangSmith, etc…) Nice-to-Haves Background in supply chain, ERP, CRM, B2B marketplaces, or accounting. Experience using Claude Code (or similar coding tools) to build products on your own. Familiarity with agentic systems and multi-agent orchestration. Experience in early-stage startups (0–50 headcount). Success at 6 months Shipped at least one AI-native feature to production with measurable user adoption Product team and engineers trust you to write well-thought-through PRDs You own a part of the Distru product and are the go-to person for it across the company How we work We ship fast and we expect PMs to be comfortable with the pace of startup We care about edge cases and details: our customer SOPs are nuanced and details matter when you're handling inventory and finances for our users We are extremely AI forward: you’ll have access to our team's combined AI knowledge, the processes and skills we've built, an extremely AI-forward company across the board Why Distru? Stable, profitable and growing: We’ve built a company to last. We’re profitable, we’re growing, and our finances are always transparent at Distru. Transparent & trusting culture (no corporate politics BS): No red tape, no politics. We all speak our mind to whomever, whenever. We are a highly trusting team and it shows in our employee retention. A-tier product + engineering team: Our team is small and efficient, and everyone holds their own weight. You’ll be surrounded by highly capable product + engineering teammates daily. Investment in your AI fluency: We make heavy investments across the team in AI fluency and frequently run internal AI hackathons, provide AI stipends, and run AI learning workshops Direct core product impact: Things you work on will directly be used by all of our customers. Everything you do will be core to their lives. There’s no mundane or busywork here! Distru was formed by an environment of mutual respect and trust made up by people working together without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy (including childbirth, lactation and related medical conditions), national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information (including characteristics and testing), military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by law. We believe that diversity and inclusion among our team members is critical to our success and we proactively strive to recruit, develop and retain the best and brightest people from the most diverse candidate pools we can find all over the world. #LI-RC1
