A technology-driven financial-services organization is hiring a Middleware Infrastructure Engineer to take hands-on ownership of enterprise messaging platforms supporting mission-critical business applications. The environment includes IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, and RabbitMQ, with IBM MQ serving as the primary area of expertise. This engineer will be responsible for reliability, availability, security, performance, and recoverability across production and non-production environments. The position is well suited to an experienced middleware engineer who wants broad platform ownership rather than being limited to one product. RESPONSIBILITIES Design, administer, maintain, and improve enterprise IBM MQ, Kafka, and RabbitMQ environments.Own middleware availability, disaster recovery, failover, monitoring, and operational readiness.Configure IBM MQ queue managers, queues, channels, clusters, security, certificates, and routing.Troubleshoot complex messaging, application-integration, connectivity, and performance issues.Lead platform upgrades, patching, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and vulnerability remediation.Develop automation for deployment, monitoring, configuration, and recurring operational activities.Partner with application, network, security, infrastructure, DevOps, and production-support teams.Support business-critical integrations with external financial institutions and market-infrastructure providers. Role Requirements 5+ years of enterprise middleware or messaging-infrastructure experience.Strong hands-on IBM MQ administration and troubleshooting.Working knowledge of both Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ.Experience designing high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions.Strong Linux or Unix administration skills.Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, certificates, and TLS.Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.Scripting or infrastructure-automation experience.Strong production-support, incident-management, and root-cause-analysis skills.Ability to independently troubleshoot complex distributed systems. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Financial-services, brokerage, trading, banking, clearing, or fintech experience.AWS or other public-cloud experience.Experience with financial-market infrastructure integrations.Docker or Kubernetes.Infrastructure as Code.Relevant IBM MQ, Kafka, Linux, AWS, cloud, or security certifications.
