- Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all compounding activities comply with USP, FDA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations. Foster a safety-conscious culture by providing training, conducting safety audits, and enforcing safety protocols.
- Inventory & Material Handling: Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of compounding materials and proper handling and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous substances.
- Collaboration & Problem Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain, to address operational challenges, resolve issues, and drive production efficiency.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs and ensure the smooth functioning of the compounding department.
YOU HAVE:
- Experience: 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical compounding, manufacturing, fulfillment, or a related operational environment. 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience, managing teams in a fast-paced, regulated setting. 2+ years of experience implementing and maintaining OSHA safety standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering) is preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and operational reporting tools. Strong knowledge of USP 795, USP 800, cGMP, OSHA, and FDA regulations. Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
