Job description

READY TO CODE THE FUTURE OF US DENTAL CARE? Teero is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Austin headquarters. If you ship fast, build with AI, and want to launch products shoulder-to-shoulder with the customers who use them, we want to talk. ABOUT TEERO The $160B+ dental industry still runs on fax machines and phone tag—we're fixing that. We're an AI-native company building the operating system for modern dental offices, starting with staffing and expanding into revenue cycle management, patient billing, and beyond. Backed by Construct Capital with thousands of offices and hygienists using our platform monthly, we're growing fast across the country—and we're just getting started. ABOUT THE ROLE You'll be among our first engineers in Austin, embedded directly with our operations team and customers at our US headquarters. This isn't a remote satellite of an engineering org—you'll be the technical co-pilot for our product expansion, building and iterating on new products in real time with the dental offices who use them. You'll hear a customer problem in the morning and ship a fix by the afternoon. You'll sit next to the team selling and onboarding new products like revenue cycle management and patient billing, and build the AI-powered tools that help dental offices grow their revenue faster. You'll launch entirely new products from zero, with a feedback loop measured in hours, not sprints. We have no product managers: you'll shape what we build and how we build it, working directly with our operations team, founders, and the Amsterdam engineering team. We don't just use AI—it's how we build. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and whatever comes next aren't nice-to-haves, they're core to how we work. We expect our engineers to stay on the bleeding edge of AI-assisted development, constantly adopting new tools and techniques that let a small team ship at a pace that shouldn't be possible. As Teero grows, so will you. WHAT YOU'LL OWN - Launch and own entire products end-to-end—from zero to live and scaling—with direct customer feedback from day one - Build new products that help dental offices grow their revenue—revenue cycle management, patient billing, and whatever we tackle next - Work directly with operators, dental offices, and hygienists to identify problems and ship solutions fast - Build across our stack: - Languages: Go, Typescript - Backend: MySql, SQLC, buf.build, Temporal - Frontend: React, Next.js - Push the boundaries of AI-assisted development—we expect you to ship faster this quarter than last because your tools and workflows keep getting better - Collaborate daily with our Amsterdam engineering team while bringing a uniquely customer-close perspective - Make technical and product decisions that directly impact business growth and customer experience WHAT YOU BRING - Strong proficiency in full stack development and React—this shouldn't be your first engineering role, but we care more about what you can build than years on a resume - AI-native: you're already using Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar tools daily and you'd feel slower without them - You launch things. You have a track record of shipping products or features from idea to production, not just contributing to existing codebases - You thrive on proximity to customers—you'd rather watch someone use your product and iterate on the spot than wait for a bug report - Self-starter who sees problems and fixes them without waiting for permission - Relentlessly fast: you thrive on shipping quickly and iterating based on real user feedback - High standards for code quality—fast doesn't mean sloppy - Comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of a fast-growing startup - Business-minded: you understand how your technical decisions impact growth and customer experience NICE-TO-HAVES: - Experience with our specific stack (Go, TypeScript, React, Temporal) - Startup experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment - Experience working directly with founders or as a product engineer - Background in marketplace or healthcare tech THIS ROLE ISN'T FOR YOU IF: - You prefer large, established companies with defined processes and slow release cycles - You're uncomfortable with ambiguity and rapid change - You'd rather be heads-down in code than talking to customers and operators - You're not excited about wearing multiple hats and doing whatever it takes - You think AI coding tools are a gimmick or a crutch - You only want remote work—this role is in-person in Austin WHAT WE OFFER - Be the first engineer at our US headquarters—foundational impact on how we build in Austin - Ownership of entire products with the fastest feedback loop imaginable: your users sit next to you - Work as a product engineer directly with operations, customers, and founders—no PMs between you and impact - An AI-first development culture that stays on the bleeding edge of new tools and workflows - Competitive salary + significant equity that could translate into life-changing value as we grow - Modern stack (Go, TypeScript, React, Temporal) and top-notch equipment - Regular collaboration with our Amsterdam engineering team and founders - The energy of a growing Austin HQ where operations and engineering work side-by-side ABOUT THE TEAM We're a compact, high-performing team led by co-founders Nate and Christian, former Uber executives who launched and scaled product lines globally. Both grew up in dental families and maintain deep industry connections, giving us the insights to build faster and smarter. Our team includes early employees from Uber, Adyen, Yandex, and Google. We're operators and engineers who've built and scaled tech platforms from the ground up. We value people who take ownership without making excuses, who constantly raise the bar, and who lead with empathy by seeing challenges through the eyes of our customers and teammates. READY TO GET STARTED? Apply now and help us move the dental industry forward.
