Job description

READY TO BE THE FACE AND VOICE OF THE FUTURE OF US DENTAL CARE? Teero is looking for a high-energy, people-centric Community Operations Associate to fuel our nationwide growth. If you are a natural communicator who loves building relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be the heartbeat of a growing community, we want you on our team. ABOUT TEERO The $160B+ dental industry still runs on fax machines and phone tag—we're fixing that. Our staffing platform is growing fast across the country, and we're just getting started. Backed by Construct Capital with thousands of offices and hygienists using our platform monthly, we're expanding to become the operating system for modern dental offices. ABOUT THE ROLE You'll work in person from our Austin office as the primary point of contact for our community. You'll own the early customer lifecycle, onboarding new hygienists and dental offices, and you'll be the first person here to notice when something's off. This is a high-volume, high-visibility role, and the job runs on a simple loop: spot the problem, prove you can fix it by hand, validate it with data, then scale it, either hand it to product to build in, or automate it yourself with the AI tools we already run on. Then you move to the next one. That's not hypothetical. One person on this team noticed we had no clean way to tell which onboarding calls actually led to referrals, so she worked it by hand first, checking transcripts one at a time. Once the numbers proved it out, she built an automated process that now runs weekly on its own and generates leads directly for our team. WHAT YOU'LL OWN - Be the first voice hygienists and dental offices hear, across phone, email, and chat, guiding them through onboarding with real relationships, not a script - Notice friction points and patterns in real time, dig into the data behind them, and pitch or build the fix - Take on proactive outreach: not just fielding what comes in, but going after offices and hygienists before a small problem becomes a real one - Get exposure to territory and account management as our footprint grows nationally - Touch compliance work, tax registration, workers' comp, and help build the SOPs for it as we scale, working directly with our Head of Finance - Turn recurring fixes into scalable processes, or automations, and feed what you learn straight into product decisions WHAT YOU BRING - 1-3 years of experience where you've been in the trenches and know how to handle a fast-paced environment - You spot problems before anyone points them out, and you'd rather test a fix and learn than wait for permission - High energy and stamina for talking to people all day, meaning that you enjoy high-volume phone and video conversations - Exceptional empathy: you can de-escalate a situation and turn a frustrated user into a Teero superfan - Communication mastery: you are clear, concise, and persuasive in speech and writing - High standards: you take pride in providing a gold-standard experience for every user NICE-TO-HAVES: - Experience in hospitality, retail, or customer-facing roles where you learned to read the room - Previous experience in a high-growth Customer Success or Community Operations role at a tech startup - An interest in community building and marketplace dynamics - Dental industry knowledge THIS ROLE ISN'T FOR YOU IF: - You prefer a quiet desk job over a high volume of daily conversations - You want a fixed, detailed procedure for every task with little room to improvise - You only want remote work: this role is in-person at our US HQ in Austin - You want to stay in the exact same lane for years rather than push into new problems WHAT WE OFFER - Become the voice of our customer: your insights, backed by data you gather yourself, directly shape our product roadmap - Clear growth paths across Operations and Community Operations teams as we scale - Some of the strongest product hires started right here: practicing how to find a customer's real problem every single day builds exactly the instincts that make a great product person - Direct reporting to our Head of Operations in our flat, collaborative Austin office - Mentorship in a no-ego startup with direct access to our founders Nate & Christian - Competitive salary + equity that could translate into life-changing value as we grow - Opportunities to visit our tech team and founders in Amsterdam - The impact of a fast-growing startup ABOUT THE TEAM We're a compact, high-performing team led by co-founders Nate and Christian, former Uber executives who launched and scaled product lines globally. Both grew up in dental families and maintain deep industry connections, giving us the insights to build faster and smarter. Our team includes early employees from Uber, Adyen, Yandex, and Google. We're operators and engineers who've built and scaled tech platforms from the ground up. We value people who take ownership without making excuses, who constantly raise the bar, and who lead with empathy by seeing challenges through the eyes of our customers and teammates.
