Next Level Experience Designer – Websites at Corporate Tools

Job description

Next Level Design Makes Sense. Salary $200,000 / year Location Portland, OR THE PROBLEM Most websites make people think too much. Where do I click? What does this mean? How do I sign up? THIS ROLE — WORKING IN THE DETAILS Website design should be obvious. Find the confusion. Design it out. Make signing up overly simple. Apply Today 01 Next Level Design Makes Sense. We’re looking for someone who can turn curious website visitors into customers without making them hunt, guess, or fight their way through a sign-up. You won’t spend your days making pretty pages just because they look cool. You’ll ask whether the page makes sense, whether the message is clear, and whether anyone can figure out what they’re supposed to do next. Benefits Benefits that actually count. 100% employer-paid medical, dental & vision + Full coverage for employees — nothing comes out of your paycheck. Plus an annual review with a raise option. Time off that grows with you + 22 days PTO + 4 holidays to start. After 3 years it bumps to 29 days, and after 5 years you move to flexible time off — not accrued, not capped. Take time off when you want. Parental leave & 401(k) match + Paid parental leave, plus up to 6% company 401(k) matching with no vesting period — it’s yours from day one. Quarterly allowance + Spend it on whatever makes work better: a comfier remote setup, continuing-education classes, a plant for your desk, coffee for a coworker, a massage for yourself… really, whatever. No dumb perks (and a trail mix bar) + No weekend dog-walking gimmicks that look cool but cost nothing because nobody uses them. We spend on benefits you’ll actually use — an open-concept office, friendly coworkers, a creative environment, and yeah… a trail mix bar. 03 What You’ll Actually Do • Design websites and landing pages that are simple, clear, and useful. • Make it ridiculously easy for people to understand what we do and sign up. • Question confusing layouts, unnecessary steps, and design that exist just to look clever. • Push ideas beyond “good enough”. 04 What We’re Looking For • Question anything that makes people stop, think, or give up during sign-up • Make complicated information feel simple without leaving out what matters • Challenge designs and ideas, including your own, when they are not working • Explain your thinking clearly and take feedback without getting weird about it • Be willing to try, learn, adjust, and keep pushing until the experience is actually better • Care more about whether the website works for real people than whether other designers think it looks cool Still following along and want to apply? In your cover letter, tell us how you’ve actually done the things above. Real examples beat buzzwords every time. We embrace change, learn fast, and grow from failure — tell us how you do the same. Winning is the standard. We’re not here for a paycheck. We’re here because we love the challenge — and we hold each other to it. Freedom Not Fear Alignment and empowerment beat control, every time. We Learn From Our Mistakes No blame game. Make the call, learn, move. Pursue High Standards Low-quality work doesn’t ship here. Standards stay high. Push and Support Getting outside your comfort zone isn’t a threat; it’s the job. We're Scrappy The polish to sit in any room; the edge to want to win it. This is Our Sport Show up daily and treat the work like the big game. THE OFFER You’ve rage-quit a sign-up because the website made something simple feel impossible. You know it didn’t have to be that way. Now you get to fix it. Apply Now Why Work Here
