Lead DevOps Engineer - AWS / CI/CD - Remote
6 month initial contract with potential for FTE Conversion
We're looking for a hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer to work closely with application teams, designing and implementing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes across AWS environments.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex cloud and deployment challenges while using modern AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development and delivery.
What you'll be doing:
Partner with application teams to design and implement cloud infrastructure
Build and maintain scalable AWS environments
Design and manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
Implement and optimise Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms
Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud, infrastructure and deployment issues
Improve the reliability, scalability and efficiency of development environments
Use AI-assisted tools to create, debug and understand code, scripts, pipelines and cloud configurations
Work closely with engineering teams to improve overall delivery processes
What we're looking for:
Strong hands-on DevOps engineering experience
Solid AWS/cloud infrastructure experience
Strong understanding of CI/CD and deployment automation
Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tooling
Strong troubleshooting and cloud engineering skills
Comfortable working directly with application/development teams
Experience using AI-assisted development tools is highly desirable
