Job description

ABOUT STARBRIDGE Starbridge helps go-to-market teams win in the public sector. Government buyers signal their priorities constantly, in council meetings, budget documents, RFPs, and public records, but that intelligence is scattered across thousands of sources and impossible to track by hand. Our platform surfaces those signals, connects them to the right buyers, and turns them into pipeline. We move fast, stay close to our customers, and are building the category. This is a chance to join early and shape how we scale. ABOUT THE ROLE At Starbridge, we're redefining how companies win public sector deals. Our innovative GTM intelligence platform empowers businesses to confidently approach and win more contracts in the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market—a $1.5 trillion space ripe for disruption. Leveraging AI-driven insights, we provide our clients with an unfair advantage in identifying early buying signals, streamlining outbound strategies, and automating cumbersome processes. We're hiring a Founding Business Development Representative to help drive our explosive early-stage growth. This isn't a typical BDR job—it's an opportunity to join a fast-moving, high-impact team where your work directly contributes to the company's trajectory. In just our first three weeks, we booked 249 demos. You'll play a critical role in scaling this momentum. WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Lead Initial Outreach: Own the first touchpoint with prospects, leveraging our proprietary AI-powered insights to engage highly qualified leads through calls, emails, and LinkedIn. - Accelerate Pipeline Growth: Work closely with the sales team to convert conversations into demos, constantly optimizing messaging and outreach strategies. - Build from Scratch: As an early member, you'll influence the playbook for our outbound motion, shaping best practices that will scale as we grow. - Sales Bootcamp: You'll receive personalized mentorship, structured sales training, and clear pathways toward becoming an Account Executive on an accelerated timeline. We expect you to learn quickly and move into a closing role. WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE: - High Earning Potential: Uncapped commission structure directly tied to your performance, rewarding your hustle and effectiveness. - Rapid Advancement: Structured career growth designed to move you quickly into a higher-level sales role. - Perks & Support: Meaningful equity options and comprehensive onboarding & sales training. WHAT YOU BRING: - Proven BDR experience: Ideally 1-2 years of experience in outbound sales or business development. If you have a different background but possess grit, intelligence, and ambition, we're flexible. Convince us why you're the perfect fit. - Relentless & Competitive: You thrive in competitive environments and approach challenges with resilience. The idea of spending 5 hours per day making dials fills you with excitement. - Coachable & Ambitious: You actively seek feedback, apply learnings quickly, and aspire to advance into an AE role. - Bachelor’s Degree Required: Field of study less important than your drive and results-oriented mindset. If you're energized by the idea of shaping a rapidly growing startup and accelerating your sales career in a supportive, dynamic team, we want to talk to you. INTERVIEW PROCESS We move fast — really fast. Getting back to someone today beats tomorrow, and our interview process reflects that mindset. Please keep us posted on your timeline so we can move quickly and speed things up where needed. All interviews are conducted via Google Meet.
