Job Overview: The role is for Piping Designer with responsibility for plant layout and piping design for Onshore Oil & Gas, LNG, and Renewables Industry projects. The work includes conceptual studies, FEEDs, estimates, detail design, and construction support. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: • Utilize design system for the production of basic piping design deliverables with Aveva E3D • Generate bulk material take offs for piping materials • Maintains and promotes a focus on McDermott end product during engineering, fabrication and construction • Effectively communicates with other engineering disciplines • Ensures effective management of change • Assumes responsible for cost, schedule, quantity and budget control • Coordinate with supporting offices • Identify potential changes • Provide schedule and progress updates Essential Qualifications and Education: • High School Diploma • Proficient in current engineering design and drafting and software packages including Aveva E3D • 2 – 10 years of piping design experience in modeling and drafting • Strong communication skills and professional ethics Preferred Qualifications and Education: • Some college or associates degree preferred #LI-CA1 #LI-DNI The Piping Designer applies developed analytical skills and the application of scientific methods to perform a variety of activities.
