Job description

About Ridwell Ridwell is a service that inspires people to create a future without waste. Today, we make it easy to reuse and recycle more by identifying recyclable and reusable items that the city doesn't collect through both our doorstep pickup and mail-in services, connecting those materials with local and national partners that can use them sustainably. Our future plans go much further and include making zero waste a reality for millions. As a B Corp-certified company, sustainability isn't just a company value—it's a fundamental part of our purpose and interests. Our mission is to empower communities to waste less, and every success our team celebrates means more waste saved from the landfill and more valuable donations in the hands of local non-profits. This is a pivotal moment of growth for Ridwell. We're looking for people who are energized by a challenging, fast-paced environment, ready to make a real impact on a mission that matters, and excited to grow alongside a team that's genuinely invested in one another! Our Values Our member is our hero. Our members are at the core of our company. Only by empowering them can we accomplish our vision. We Never Settle. We are relentlessly pursuing the exceptional and challenging the status quo–always making our service, experience, and company better. We Take Our Success Personally. We all have a stake in the success of Ridwell. You are empowered to make an impact. Purpose Drives Our Actions. Knowing why we are doing something enables us to focus on what is truly important. We Are Stronger Together. Every person is critical to our success. We need diverse perspectives to execute on creative solutions. By fostering collaboration and connection at every level, we can be phenomenal. About the Role Ridwell just launched nationally, and as we grow, we want every member's experience with us to exceed expectations—informative, educational, simple, and meeting people where they are. We're looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own & rebuild our lifecycle and retention engine: best-in-class onboarding, channels that work as one coordinated system, and more people succeeding at wasting less, for longer. This role comes with real room to build: onboarding, segmentation, channels that intelligently communicate with one another. You'll also have full autonomy to upgrade any programs, experiences, or flows not currently meeting their full potential. We move quickly here, and priorities shift as we learn. This role comes with a lot of ownership and opportunity. Responsibilities Own activation, onboarding, and retention strategy across our Pickup and Mail-In products — partnering with Acquisition on onboarding tailored to how members find us, and with our content team on referral messaging and strategy Own lifecycle execution end-to-end — email, SMS, journey building, and QA — while actively identifying where automation and AI can reduce operational overhead Partner with our creative and content team to create clear, inspiring, educational moments for everyone who interacts with the Ridwell brand — across email, SMS, direct mail, and beyond Drive steady progress toward a fully connected lifecycle system, so every member interaction feels timely, intentional, and genuinely useful Partner cross-functionally with Acquisition, Sales, Product, Brand, and Creative to keep the member experience coherent from first touch through long-term retention Requirements Meaningful experience running lifecycle, CRM, or email/SMS marketing programs. You've owned a program end-to-end and you're excited to do it again Hands-on Iterable or comparable platform experience You should understand how contact and event data actually flow into a platform like Iterable, and know when you're hitting the edge of what's available off the shelf. We have support for the heaviest technical lifts; we need you to know what to ask for A genuine track record of using data to investigate, decide, and clearly explain the impact — you get energized digging into why a number moved, and you can make the case for what it's worth Ready to go both high and low: you enjoy setting lifecycle strategy and personally owning execution across email, SMS, journey building, and QA Real motivation around member experience and Ridwell's mission — you think about what actually helps someone succeed at wasting less, not just what improves an open rate A proven track record of automating execution or admin work through AI or tooling A Note on Resources You'll have real strategic partnership, not just oversight. Growth is a company-wide priority, and you'll work closely with our Head of Growth to shape strategy — especially while you're building the foundation. You'll never be starved for data. Ridwell has rich member and performance data, plus a dedicated analytics resource ready to support you directly. If you need something that we don’t have, we can build it. Benefits Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including medical, vision and dental Flexible vacation and sick leave policy Paid holidays Paid parental leave Flexible spending account for transportation Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Discount on a monthly Ridwell subscription 401(k) plan Stock option plan The compensation range represents our best estimate, with the final offer subject to internal compensation benchmarks, candidate experience, and market data. Individuals seeking employment at Ridwell are considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, gender, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, or sexual orientation.
