Job description
OUR MISSION AND WHY IT MATTERS
We are on a mission to make humans the strongest security layer.
Human risk remains one of the biggest vulnerabilities and traditional awareness training is not enough. We take a different approach by combining AI-driven personalization, real threat detection, and behavioral science to actively protect people and organizations.
We don't just simulate risks. We build the tools that detect and stop them.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
At Hoxhunt, we transform human behavior into a powerful layer of cyber defense. As a Solution Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of our customer journey, connecting product capabilities to real-world customer environments with precision, creativity, and a problem solving-anything mindset. This role blends deep expertise across integrations, identity, security, and automation with the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable solutions. You will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to guide customers through discovery, implementation, and long-term technical success.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN AND DRIVE
- Design and support integrations across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments, guiding customers through API integrations and architecture design
- Own technical onboarding for enterprise customers, developing structured implementation plans aligned with IT and security teams
- Support deployments within Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Google Workspace while validating configurations for scalability
- Configure and validate secure data exports to customer cloud storage and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success on technical discovery, translating requirements into clear, executable implementation approaches
- Support identity and access management planning (Entra ID, Okta, Ping) and guide secure SCIM provisioning and SAML SSO implementations
- Address advanced customer questions around networking, DNS, authentication, and email deliverability (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, routing)
- Serve as a product expert for the US team, partnering with Product and Engineering to resolve complex issues and build integration guides
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- In your first 3 months you will: Master the Hoxhunt platform architecture, successfully shadow technical discovery and onboarding calls, and begin independently guiding customers through integrations and email authentication setups.
- By month 6 you will: Autonomously own complex technical onboarding and pre-sales solution design for enterprise accounts, acting as the trusted technical advisor for our customers and internal commercial teams.
WHAT MAKES YOU THRIVE HERE
You have:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar) supporting enterprise SaaS
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online and/or Google Workspace in complex environments
- Experience implementing identity and access integrations, including SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern API-based integrations (GraphQL preferred)
- Working knowledge of security and email authentication ecosystems (IAM, SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- The ability to own complex, ambiguous technical problems and drive them to resolution in real customer environments
- The ability to translate technical complexity into clear recommendations that guide customer decisions and influence cross-functional execution
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will join a dynamic and highly collaborative US commercial team based out of our Minneapolis hub. You will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering. Your colleagues are passionate, technically curious, and embody a succeed together mindset, where we actively support each other to overcome complex challenges and celebrate shared wins.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
- Compensation: Base salary of $115,000 to $130,000 USD, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $145,000 to $165,000 USD depending on your experience. You may notice varying salary ranges for roles with similar titles across Hoxhunt; this is because each range is grounded in our role leveling and reflects the seniority, scope, and impact expectations required for that specific role and team, and we operate with a low hierarchy.
- Working ways: We work in a flexible, hybrid work setting. You are expected to collaborate from our Minneapolis office.
- High performance meets high humanity: We bring an incredibly driven, high-impact energy to our work, but we leave our egos at the door. You will be surrounded by wildly talented, dedicated colleagues in an environment built on extreme kindness, support, and psychological safety.
- Authentic trust and autonomy: We hire great people and trust them to do great work. You will find a culture free of micromanagement, giving you the autonomy to take real ownership, drive impact, and shape things early on.
- A product you can be proud of: It is incredibly rare in cybersecurity to build a multi-award-winning product that end-users genuinely love. You will join a team making a real, measurable impact against cybercrime.
- The perks that matter: Alongside this amazing community, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage (with a portion of premiums covered by the company), life insurance, PTO, 11 paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays, wellness benefits, paid parental leave, a 401(k) match, and more. Plus, you will get to collaborate from our wonderful office in Minneapolis!
