Job description

Join ShopMy - Powering the Future of Digital Marketing ShopMy is transforming e-commerce by building the infrastructure for human-led curation at scale. We help brands run performance-driven creator programs while enabling top creators to monetize their influence and partner directly with the brands they love—driving discovery through trusted tastemakers and authentic recommendations. ShopMy recently became a unicorn, raising at a $1.5B valuation with backing from Bessemer Venture Partners, Avenir Growth Capital, and Bain Capital Ventures. At ShopMy, you're building the future of human-led commerce for the world's best brands, tastemakers, and shoppers. You move fast and see immediate impact in your work, alongside accomplished teammates who are driven by helping find the world's best things. If you’re excited to help shape the future of curated commerce at the intersection of technology, culture, and taste, we’d love to meet you. About the Role: We're looking for a Director of Strategic Alliances to expand ShopMy's partner ecosystem by sourcing, structuring, and closing high-impact strategic relationships — with a particular focus on agency and platform partnerships. Similar to our sales roles, this position owns a defined book of opportunities, but focused on partnerships rather than brand subscriptions. You'll manage the full alliance lifecycle, from outbound identification and first conversations through deal close and launch, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure partnerships deliver meaningful business impact. You understand how agencies think, how media buying decisions get made, and how to position ShopMy as a must-have platform within holding groups and independent agency networks. Your Impact to the Role: Source and pursue new strategic alliance opportunities across agency holding groups, independent agencies, and measurement and technology platforms Own a pipeline of partnership opportunities from first contact through close — from cold outreach through signed agreements and go-live Build and manage senior-level relationships with agency partners including planning, investment, and strategy leads across major holding companies Lead negotiations and structure agreements with clear performance expectations Develop joint go-to-market strategies with agency partners that drive brand and creator adoption on ShopMy Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Marketing to launch and scale new alliances Build relationships with measurement platforms to strengthen ShopMy's performance marketing story You Are Energized By: Building agency relationships from scratch and turning them into durable, revenue-generating programs Owning outcomes and being accountable to defined goals Operating at the intersection of media, technology, and commerce — where no two deals look the same Identifying whitespace in the market and moving quickly to close it What We're Looking For: 7–10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, agency sales, or business development — with meaningful time spent working directly with agencies or holding companies A track record of sourcing and closing new partnership deals — not just managing existing relationships Deep familiarity with how media agencies operate, including planning, buying, and measurement workflows Experience working across affiliate platforms such as Impact, CJ, Rakuten, or Skimlinks is a strong plus Strong negotiation skills and executive presence — you can hold a room with a Group VP or Managing Director Experience operating in roles with ownership over targets or quotas Bonus Points: Background in ad tech, MarTech, publisher partnerships, or the creator economy Existing relationships across agency holding groups Familiarity with affiliate or performance-driven business models Experience building a partnerships program or function from scratch In compliance with New York Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is as shown.
