A global healthcare solutions organization is seeking a Lead Data Architect to define and execute its long-term enterprise data strategy. This senior leadership position will shape the architecture behind modern data platforms supporting operational workloads, analytics, reporting, and future AI capabilities. The organization is modernizing a mixed legacy and cloud environment while developing a new data lake, stronger real-time capabilities, and repeatable enterprise architecture practices. This is not a pure management role. The Lead Data Architect will combine enterprise strategy, technical architecture, stakeholder leadership, and team mentorship while remaining actively involved in critical design and technology decisions. RESPONSIBILITIES Define, communicate, and evolve the enterprise data-architecture roadmap.Architect scalable cloud data platforms, warehouses, lakes, and integration frameworks.Help design and implement a new enterprise data lake.Develop real-time, streaming, and event-driven data capabilities.Establish architecture standards, design-review processes, and reusable technical patterns.Guide data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, integration, and delivery.Establish standards for data governance, quality, lineage, metadata, security, privacy, and access.Partner with technology and business leadership on platform and tooling decisions.Balance modernization objectives with existing enterprise systems and legacy technology.Guide architecture across databases, pipelines, APIs, distributed platforms, and integration layers.Lead and mentor technical team members while remaining involved in architecture and implementation decisions.Build the enterprise data foundation required for future analytics and AI/ML capabilities. Role Requirements: 10+ years of data architecture, data engineering, or related experience.Demonstrated ownership of enterprise-scale data architecture.Strong cloud data-architecture experience, preferably AWS.Experience designing data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed data platforms.Strong knowledge of batch, streaming, real-time, and event-driven architectures.Experience with data ingestion, integration, pipelines, APIs, and orchestration.Experience modernizing legacy data environments.Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, security, lineage, metadata, and quality.Ability to establish architecture standards and repeatable review processes.Experience influencing enterprise tooling and technology direction.Strong executive and cross-functional stakeholder communication.Experience leading or mentoring architects and engineers.Ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on technical involvement.
