Job Description: Our direct client is looking for a Performance Engineer who has recent hands-on experience with HPE NonStop (Tandem) systems on NSK/ Guardian Operating System , large-scale transaction processing environments, and end-to-end performance validation across distributed and mainframe-connected platforms. What is the goal / mission of this project? - The Performance and Capacity Testing Team is seeking an experienced Performance Engineer with expertise in designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests for mission-critical, high-availability applications. Required Experience and Skills: 5+ years of performance engineering and performance testing experience. Atleast 3+ years of experience supporting, testing, or performance engineering applications running on HPE NonStop (NSK) platforms. Ability to analyze CPU, memory, I/O, network, and transaction metrics. Should have good hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, or equivalent. Strong SQL and database performance analysis skills. HPE NonStop (Tandem) Experience - • Understanding of NonStop architecture, including: o Fault-tolerant design o Shared-nothing architecture o Process pair concepts o CPU and memory isolation o Automatic failover and recovery mechanisms • Experience validating system performance during failover and recovery scenarios. • Knowledge of Guardian/NSK operating system concepts. • Experience testing high-volume transaction processing applications hosted on NonStop platforms. Core Technical Skills : • Experience with transaction monitoring and observability tools. • Experience with Linux/Unix environments. • Knowledge of middleware technologies such as MQ, JMS, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures. **Plus Skills: • Banking, payments, treasury, RTP, ACH, card processing, or financial services experience. • Experience with Pathway, SQL/MX, SQL/MP, TAL, COBOL, or C/C++ applications on NonStop. • Experience testing systems requiring near-zero downtime and high availability. • Familiarity with cloud, container, and distributed application performance testing. • Experience with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, or similar monitoring platforms. Day to Day Performance Testing Responsibilities: Must have a Strong understanding of: o Load Testing o Stress Testing o Volume Testing o Endurance/Soak Testing o Capacity Planning o Performance Monitoring and Analysis • Experience developing and executing workload models based on production transaction volumes. • Ability to analyze performance bottlenecks across application, middleware, database, network, and infrastructure layers.
